Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Thanks for the link!

Seems a lot better than the usual media coverage of bitcoin.

Nice, thanks!

BBC has generally had very good, objective coverage on Bitcoin but this is the most comprehensive video I've seen yet from them.

Great, let's make an alt-chain fork called "BBCoin" to honor them for their good coverage. "British Broadcast Coin."

It might get confused with BBQcoin, but, all's well that ends well.

Can't help but wonder what barbecued bitcoins would taste like.  Virtual bratwurst?

lol wrong
he wrote the paper before 2009 because the paper was used to then make bitcoin which came out in 2009.. so dont confuse when bitcoin went live with when the paper was made/released

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Nice but over emphasized the ability to steal a wallet.  There are many ways to secure a digital wallet. But surprised they did not mention how bitcoins are lost by forgetting passwords...

I think explaining armory to the masses or isolated pc's with receiving wallets and sending wallets might just make the darn thing a lot more confusing

I disagree. Having a wallet stolen is much easier than what you think. If that video is meant for new users, then it is better that they know that they MUST protect their wallet otherwise they will lose everything and NO ONE will be able to help them.

Date added

N/A
Begin each thread with article date, YYYY-MM-DD format.
Applied

Thread title should usefully summarize the link.
Pretty much done already

julz has suggested DATE-SITE-HEADLINE format, but use your best judgement.
Checked off

N/A

Post a link to the NEW articles thread.
Articles still fairly new

So all I missed was the date I think
The date was discoverable by interpolating the posting date - 1 (Basic coding XD)
And here I thought I needed citations in the MLA or APA format  Wink
