ETN has been my first ICO investment and I am not regretting anything! In fact I am hoping a lot for an initial dump. I already prepared good amounts of one BTC to raise my amount of ETN. :-)

Just don't get your hopes high that ETN will pass 10$-100$ value, since it was designed to match the world currencies.

I am not hoping for 10$, or 100$ or anything ridiculous like that. I would be pretty happy if it was at 0,5$ or maybe 1$. And I think this is absolutely possible the next one or two years.
But to reach 1$/ETN the devs have to deliver. We need to have contracts with gambling companies, an inbuilt ETN exchange or anything on this level.

People talking about $10 or $100 dollars a coin have just not done their maths.

These guys have marketing down and this interests me. They have a lot of money to push their mining sim app (or whatever you wan't to call it). Their technical approach was not good but thankfully they got someone expierienced onboard and forked Monero and introduced transaction fees. It's all a bit late in the day though so expect chaos on release and then a big pump when exchanges open.

I'm interesting in this in the medium and long term though. Who knows? It will be great to watch though.

10x the price of ICO is 400 Million of capitalisation - even though a very successful project might well achieve that, I doubt this would happen overnight. First you have to go through the phase of the early inverstors who bought cheap cashing out.

Only having 2 points instead of 8 is because the changed total coins to 21 Billion instead of 21 Million, which just makes ETN transactions more like whole numbers. For example a pizza might be 20 ETN once ETN hits a dollar, instead of .00349 BTC for the same pizza. Its more like real life, which the participants of the focus groups responded much better to.

ETN hired 10 different PR firms in 10 different languages, to promote and educate society at/after launch.

Google "Electroneum", and watch how many Electroneum Ads follow you around everywhere you go on the internet.

I have not seen much bad press to date for electroneum, it could/will be very big.

The success of any currency lies in the amount of users it has. If only one tenth of the shops in the US accepted dollars, no one would want it...

So the fact that there are thousands of small investors is definitely a good thing. More people = more "word-of-mouth" marketing = more demand = an increase in the coin value.

The fact that anyone will be able to miner a few coins per day with their smartphone will bring thousands upon thousands of new users to the platform, all looking for places to spend their ETN coins.

My father worked at Lotus in the beginning of the 90s and we had some conversations about their business policy. They didnt want to go to the consumer market. They said it is much better to get the business customers who will buy 10k or 100k copies at once. The normal customer was seen as a hard business. A lot of effort to sell one copy to one customer.
Guess what. Microsoft did it this way. And look where Microsoft is now and where Lotus is.

Or maybe an example not so far away in time. Look at Blackberry. Every business man had one. In every company >200 employees there has been a blackberry server. Everyone was laughing about the shitty consumer phones (== everything else than BB)
And then Apple came with the iPhone. They generated so much demand on the private side that those people went to work asking for iPhones. And now we dont have any Blackberry server anywhere.

I guess that the key for success is generating demand on the private consumer side which will swap into businesses. That is the approach of Electroneum and that is the reason I and many others invested in it.
