Yup they are trying to accomplish similar things to IOTA. I dont think they have a DAG but they are trying to accomplish zero fee transactions with the network and this is a huge undertaking but if done right could be biiig!

I belive that xrb has huge potential in the next months/years. It is similar to IOTA and has (yet) no important partner but I am happy to buy it now for low price.

There will be new exchanges soon. Also some marketing and an IOS/Android App. Lots to come.
Although I don't see it as a competitor for IOTA.

XRB looks to be breaking out.. with low supply relative to IOTA and upcoming new exchanges.. I think this is a dormant volcano fixing to wake up.

it was one of my old bet, and now is paying tha patience. It will gain the place it deserve to be, in the top 20 at least! lets enjoy this ride all togheter
