Demo version is functional and it working smoothly this is good sign. This is fun idea to integrate this marketplace into blockchain so this will make this platform globally accessible. Where I can find the details about this upcoming ICO?

Thank you! We're finalizing bounty campaign opportunities for you, after which we will publish our full White Paper with all details you need to make an educated decision whether to support this project. It should happen in the first half of next week. We'll let you know here.

I don't use Instagram but many of my friends do so I know it's quite popular around here. I want to ask, why would someone pay for a photo if you can simply right click and download it?
What is the minimum investment and what is the price per token? Are you planning to do signature campaign or what kind of bounties? I will check the details when you open the Bounty thread. Good luck, this project has potential!

what about copyright in an image that is sold in your application if the image has been sold a photographer has no copyright anymore? while the photo is the result of their work...

hi, looks nice project, where i can find more token details like supply? good luck
Thanks erv! There will be a total of 35 000 000 PIC tokens made available, with no further emissions planned. The price of 1 PIC token will be equivalent to $1. The tokens issued will remain in circulation until exchanged by their holders for unique privileges like services at a special discounted price, advertising, consulting by Picax staff and more. Our White Paper elaborates more on this, and we will publish it in the upcoming days. Stay tuned! I don't use Instagram but many of my friends do so I know it's quite popular around here. I want to ask, why would someone pay for a photo if you can simply right click and download it?

Thank you for your questions, zakalwe. Downloading a photo like that infringes copyright and damages the author. Some people get away with this, but it is not the norm, especially when it comes to publishing content as a business. A marketer or blogger can forever damage his company's brand through unauthorized use of somebody's content. Hence, a straight-forward license and a small price is what keeps them safe. We will also use a few tools like watermarks and potentially a disabled right click on the image to weed out most unauthorized attempts and protect photographers' content. Hope that explains it 1 PIC will have a price that is equivalent to $1. We do not set a minimum investment limit. Unlike most other tokensale campaigns, we're launching this platform regardless of the tokensale results. We will complete the beta in a couple of months, while the additional funds will be used to build a more robust product and grow the business at scale. We want to make the platform available to as many casual photographers as possible. And as far as bounty and signature in particular, we're finalizing the terms for you right now. Expect an update mid next week!

Thanks for asking! What the customer buys is the license (i.e. the right) to use the photo. We will publish the license terms that define what "using" is. For example, you may produce content with the image, but you may not resell the image. The photo itself still belongs to the photographer.

reserved turkish translation dev. Turkish, great As advised earlier, stay tuned to see if it makes the final list. Thanks for your reservation. Sell Instagram photos, sound very interesting. but why anyone will be interested to sell his/her Instagram photos?
Hi! A simple question with a simple answer - monetizing your hobby and making a name for yourself in photography business. And the photos still remain yours, since it's only the license to use them that is actually sold. So instead of just staying there among your old Instagram posts, it could have real-world impact when a famous brand or a popular blog uses it for something cool and creative. It used to be complicated, but now that with Picax it only takes a single hashtag to do it, is there a reason not to?

Expect an update mid next week! Thanks for this explanation. I like your answer. I didn't quite see the point who would want to buy photos, but now I understand. Actually I have already been in a situation when I needed some "stock photos" for my association, we are not a business but we are officially registered association so we need to follow the copyright laws and all this. And I had trouble finding photos for which I was 100% sure that I can freely use them without risk of copyright claim by the author. Another option was buying photographs from an agency like Getty Images but the prices were too high for us. This would be perfect solution, buying photos from hobby photographers and paying symbolic price to them, for example $1 up to $10 and they would be happy and I wouldn't need to worry that someone will sue me for unauthorised use of his photos. I have one more question, because I'm not a Instagram user. So when you upload a photo there, Instagram probably shrinks it, lowers the resolution, right? What about if a buyer wants a full resolution photo, how would this be possible thru your Picax platform?

Te eliminate the need to pay every time you need an image, we will be working on subscription basis that will be around $30. If you need at least 3 photos per month, it will be right there at your desired price point. For a social media marketer who needs 1-2 photos on daily basis for social posts, the price-per-photo is comparable to that of a chocolate bar. You're absolutely right. As of today, Instagram allows photos to be fetched of up to 1080x1080px in size. This is enough for most needs in daily content creation like blogposts, newsletters, Facebook or... Instagram. For some tasks like print materials, the resolution is not sufficient. We address it with two action points: 1. Phase 2 of the roadmap includes integrations with cloud photo storage services that don't set such limit. 2. For the time being, our customer service will help you with ad-hoc needs like this one. And it's only reasonable to expect that Instagram's API will support higher resolutions in near future. Their API is growing in popularity and last year they also added the long-awaited pinch-to-zoom feature that is handicapped by the resolution cap in the first place. Meanwhile, bandwidth and data is getting cheaper and faster, with 5G expected to gain momentum by 2020.
