Shit coins always pump and dump. There may be a reason but they don't need one. Here's three anyways:

Could be 2x fork drama.

Could be recent hash spike.

Could be p&d group.

I saw that a lot of people were going to invest in bitcoin cash because they had a lot of faith in this coin, but i dont understand why there is still people who are buying this coin, it is a forked coin, it is not even useful.
But anyway,  there were a lot of conspiracies when bitcoin cash got listed, a lot of people said that it was going to be the new Bitcoin, but it is false because it has dropped more than 50% since it got listed.
I dont know, there haven't been any news about this coin lately

BCH is going up because massive amounts of korean won are being exchanged for it.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-cash/#markets

This is the same as every huge BCH pump we have seen. Lots of Korean money being lost.

Maybe its something like korean pump and dumpers taking advantage of vulnerable investors through social media.

I see it as a combination of your first and last reasons. After all the noise about BCH taking BTC to the cleaners, which is never going to happen anyway, this could yet be a latest move to draw attention to the coin, but since there are no fundamental news or development to back the sudden rally up, it must be a pump and dump scheming to take advantage of gullible traders.

It doesn't have to mean something necessarily, could be a simple pump for whatever reason (Higher demand/support etc). However, I recently read, on another thread here, that there was a spike in the total hashing power due to miners moving from BTC to BCH.

My two cents is that you can expect BCH to be pumped the next two weeks so miners switch hashpower to BCH from Core. This leaves less mining power on Core and could make it easier for btc1 to take over from Core at the hardfork. All the mining power on BCH could be transferred to btc1 at the right time if Chinese miners are actually coordinating a takeover.

I sure as hell hope you are wrong and that wont happen, but it is fishy by the looks of it.
Miners need to be smarter and NOT switch from core, but most of them are just going to whomever pays more.  Embarrassed

they're preparing themself for another 2x,
a few days ago miners moving their mining rig to mine it and yesterday everything is back to normal,
which mean there'll be another pump in BCH in a few days later on or already pumped,
it's a preparation for them to face another event, they did not mine gold because it's not really valuable at the moment.

I think it has something to do with South Korean's country, I've read some articles that South Korean is driving BCH volume. Launched from cointelegraph.com, South Korean is the only country that encourages BCH trading volume continues to increase. South Korean stocks include the earliest announced support for BCH trading and also in Korean.. BCH is traded to Korean Won (Korean currency). Well, surely i think this can be affect on BCH price is going up.

it is simply because people were expecting BCH to be pumped because of SegWit2x right after the bitcoin gold fork happened. so they are acting up on it and buy BCH with their money so the price goes up. it is all speculation.

this will continue this way with a small and slow rise until BCH starts its real pump to enter the bubble and if bitcoin continues having the issues it has today with the spam attack and big backlog, the BCH pump will only grow bigger and bigger.

it is all profit though, i am not complaining. more bitcoin for all of us altcoin traders. let them pump BCH, we should just remember to dump it on top and not hold more than we are supposed to.

This. There is no such pump group that can pump such a huge coin and sustain it's price. A lot more money needed

If the Segwit 2x is a failure BCH will rise and will become number 1 in the market i think.

Agree, BCH is too big of shitcoin for p&d groups. How much money they have to put in to move it on 20%? Like $300,000,000? Well may be its a Chinese whales group or smth like that lol
Im not really good in tech side but mining diff makes it more profitable BCH for miners which is always bad to the price so it prob will go down pretty soon. (but dont quote me on that if you're making a bet of this coin haha)

BCH is going up due to Growing adoption by retailers, low fees, rapid innovation snd fast transsctions. Btc is now being used by large corporations and global exchange support for btc continues to grow.

Right. Recently, BCH does not have any events or information. It is also like other altcoins that accept a sharp drop in prices when Bitcoin hardfork.
Perhaps this is just the consolidation and push up price of shark. There may be reasons that I do not know.
