What the hell ?

it's way too much . i pay higher on fees than the amount i'm sending to people
and i work a lot with bitcoin on small amounts..

The best solution i found now is  pay using ETH , then convert it to BTC using changelly. (something like 0.2$ fees) and its automatic.
Shapeshift is also take huge fees and blockchain.info support it to be part of their site. (don't use) .

It is too expensive for a transaction. I find this fee is not appropriate. If you trade more then it will cost a lot of money. It is disadvantageous for those who invest.

I am just thinking at present level if the fees seems so high then just think once it reaches 10k the fees would almost be double of what it is today. As the price of the coin keep increasing the fees would automatically be getting costlier and not cheaper. Will this bring down the users interested in btc due to its fees is what wee will need to watch out.

I suggest you use an online wallet, it is not possible to escape from the charges, but the oflline wallets are really cruel.

Which online wallets gives no fee ? I have not heard of any such wallet which is free from charges . Can you please name such wallet so that it may help all of us ?
Previously coinbase and Xapo did not charge fee but this was last year, these days they too charge tx fee on each transactions.

Yes some times bitcoin fees interrupt the transactions which are of low amount. The bitcoin transaction fees are very unstable it can increase and decrease any time and no on can predict it. sometimes people skip bitcoin payments for this but i think as more and more people start using bitcoin the fees will be lowed as transaction per day increases and this will make small bitcoin transaction fees affordable .

You can always choose to send less yes it won't be as quick to confirm but at the end of the day this is how bitcoin works and will never change. Bitcoin miners need an incentive to pass a transaction and higher fees are going to do that.

If you don't mind waiting a few hours then just pay a smaller fee.
If you send 0.1 I think isn't too big but if you send small amount of money you 'd better use eth or litecoin. I usually do that for transaction. To exchange quickly bitcoin to eth or vise versa I like to use flyp.me. Flyp.me is automatic excanger service that no needs registration. It needs only few minutes to arrive in my wallet. That's cool exchanger you'd better try. The fee is not too high.

I always do this way to reduce the fee on my transaction. First customize the fee and reduce it to minimum $1 and if the transaction is not confirmed in 1 hour, i will use txid accelerator to my transaction and it's really works. Actually the fee is quite low nowdays.

all wallets have fees unless you use other currency like xrb (which has zero fees) and you can try litecoin and dogecoin for a lesser fees compared to bitcoin.

i think they wont charge you a fee if your sending bitcoins to coinbase to coinbase or xapo to  xapo wallets.

The solution for this is: pay using ETH , then convert it to BTC using changelly.
What a great site is changelly! brings al ot of value.

This looks to me a simple way of promotion. I think you are one member of changelly or a paid advertiser using posts here in the forum. The fees that bitcoin is asking in each transaction is getting really high. We have been experiencing this for some time already. That is why many people would advice not use bitcoin in small transactions such as buying a cup of coffee. But if you are determined to use it for such transactions, then you also have to accept the high fees.

If it is true that bitcoin transaction fee are all equal, big or small, this should be a serious problem for the users. Because this technology is intentionally made to divide into 8 digit digits, to be obtained in small quantities. But if the transaction fees of bitcoin in large quantities is equal to small (Equally high) it means more bitcoin is for large transactions. While small transaction, will harm users.

Yes this fees issue has been there for quite a while now, many of us have faced this kind of issue, but I feel it's wise to use Bitcoins for a bigger transactions, than use this kind of transactions, what you did was also correct, and sensible to, but I feel you should stick with bitcoins for large transactions, and higher returns, if you only do small transactions, then continue, your method but have large eth is bad, you won't get returns like Bitcoins.

What the hell kind of times are you sending your transactions at?

Why are you not setting your own fees and ignoring what Blockchain recommend completely?

I am paying something along the lines of $1 CDN at the absolute worst and when I want something to be done quickly. There is now way that you should be spending that amount of money on a transaction. But the fault is completely on you if you aren't using platforms to their full potential and making sure you're aware of every feature. Most wallets let you set your own fees and make sure that you're happy with what you're spending - Blockchain.info included.
This is right which we can actually customize the fee depending on the needs or on how fast we do like for it to confirm. If you are in a hurry then paying up those above recommended fee will really be pain on the ass if you do follow their recommendations. This is why micro transactions nowadays is somehow useless since fees will really piss you off.

There's an alternative, one which was implicit in the original plans for Bitcoin - that the widespread, distributed mining was cheap and written off as a hobby/interest in maintaining the project.  ASIC and mining farms weren't in the plan and they've skewed the project.  Ideally transaction fees should be tiny and high volume makes mining viable.

As it is I laugh and cringe every time I read someone advocate no or low fees as advantage for Bitcoin, when its 5-10x a debit card transaction to get in the next block, and only large transactions/movements of bitcoin are financially advantageous.

It doesn't matter if there is one big miner with 1 trillion s9 or 100 nerds with r4 mining.
The number and hashing power of the miners  affects only the difficulty not the size or the block or the time between blocks.

The fees are growing because the space is limited and we have more and more transactions, so demand and offer kick in.
Since we have limited space the one that pays the bigger fee gets the spot.
And it's pretty normal that guys moving thousand of dollars will pay 4 or 5$ to get fast confirmation while the rest will hope to get a spot in the remaining space, but with 4$ transaction fee it is really not feasible to try and move 10$.

same, sometimes i also very angry about bitcoin fees, its too much high, i will give a suggestion to bitcoin that please depreciate the bitcoin fees, so more and more people will attract toward bitcoins.

Bitcoin is not a person, it's not an organisation and it has no customer support.
The ones that are driving the fees up are we, the users, competing for a fast tx confirmation.

Exactly the opposite!
As more and more people will use bitcoin the fees will go up as we have more transactions per second to add to the chain.

It's normal, we can pay miners because they are the one who generating our transactions and that is good. In every wallet, there are the same fees, sometimes the confirmation is too slow. Just wait and calm.

We have nothing to do with it, transaction fees are included in every transactions we made, it's a package deal, it is not free.

Even if it makes us angry but we cannot argue with anyone here about the fees so let us just accept the fact that for every transaction there is a huge fees included.

Sad to say but we have no control over these things. Since we transact our coins in their storage at least we give them a share. I know it's rather high but we have no better alternative for this. It's just sad that a small bitcoin trader like me will get less profit because of these outrageous transaction fees.

The fee's are more favorable to bigger amounts, it's very annoying making smaller transactions.
I have noticed this too for bigger payments. However, ordinarily one would've thought that the recent fork would've ameliorated this issue of high transaction fee charge as well as the backlog of transactions on blockchain. What is the essence of continuous and replicate forks of minute issues like this aren't taken care of. It's now quite discouraging sending small amount of btc across.

Before you boast of your material acquisition, take a stroll to a morgue and there you will find those who were once better than you're. Only fools think they've it all. Stay humble 🤔

Unfortunately, Bitcoin fees are high especially when we are just before the hardfork. A lot of people transfer their bitcoins to exchanges in order to quickly claim and sell forked coins right after they are available for trading. SegWit has solved temporarily the problem of expensive transaction. However, it won't do much if majority of network continue to use legacy addresses.

Use mycelium wallet instead. If i'm not mistaken the last time I made a withdrawal the high-prio fee is only more or less than 50ksats that takes 10mins to have a confirmation. I used normal fee the last time with only 23k sats. But actually the fee wasn't that big for me it just happen that the price is high.

The high-priority fee setting is much higher now, as the network is facing significantly more congestion. Using standard (legacy) addresses/outputs, the median fee required to get in the next block is currently 320 satoshis/byte, per https://bitcoinfees.earn.com. And if you use the 1 satoshi/byte setting, it's likely your transaction will never confirm.

I think now that 2x has been called off that Jihan and Bitmain are spamming the network. Makes sense now that Bitcoin Cash just lost its only major competitor for the "Bitcoin" brand. As BTC transactions become more expensive, BCH transactions begin to look more attractive to users. This is intentional.
