I'm mining YAC and am getting 20% rejects using pools in the US, even with P2Pool, due to my location in Oz.  Does anyone know of or want to start a pool in the AsiaPacific region, preferably Australia?

Starting a P2Pool node on a cheap VPS is pretty straightforward if you're up for it. https://github.com/Rav3nPL/p2pool-yac

I'm running this on my own linux box at home.  And Hanzac hasn't connected yet, those miners are mine Smiley

I was getting 20% rejects before to pools in the US or p2pool in general.  I'm now getting 0.5% on my miners and currently 14% on the pool (and dropping because all of those happened early on when I was using the CPU for something else)

Actually I have just realised that the p2pool as a whole is getting 19% DOA+orphan, so this doesn't actually improve things for me does it?  Overall I'm still only getting 80% at best

Anyone have any ideas??

yeah Ive turned off the p2pool after it died twice.  too unreliable at the moment.  oh well, back to 20% rejects on coinmine.pl.  What sort of reject rate do you get (cgminer)?

I have also about 20% rejects. Hope someone else will open another pushpool server.

It's slow for me to connect ... thanks for trying the patch Wink

I've switched to p2pool for a moment, I launch a p2pool node myself. Hope it can be more stable.

the entire p2pool is like 29% DOA though, so you're already starting that far behind.  I think coinmine.pl is still probably better for now

ive tested it i threw 4mh at all types for 4 hours each and p2pool came out on top by about 50 coins,

i went back and hashed on a prop pool for longer then 4 hours and it was the same outcome
but up to you man ive reverted my node back to its original yacoin-p2pool and not the p2pool-yac version i dont like how that one its working, one bit!

even though the networks says its 30% doa+orphan its payments are much stronger and more constant
