Hi,

We are finishing an exchange 100% descentralized and we are looking for it's logo. It's mainly thought to be used by cero bitcoin knowledged people for making their first steps into buying bitcoins. It's not thought as a traditional online exchange, nor as the newones to come, is more like a smart space where buyers and sellers have the tools to agree in the terms of the contract straight and easy. It's more like localbitcoins than an mtgox but it has a bit of both.

Bitcoinear.me is a tricky word... in spanish is something like using Bitcoin as a action/verb > turning someone into bitcoin (wich represents the extremly easyness to buy bitcoins or to be "bitcoined" or to be "Bitcoining") but in english it stands more for the exchange it self or for finding someone near you to exchange. We would like a logo which represents both things.

The full price will be paid to who creates a logo that we like in 100%. In case that we don't find the right logo, we will any way vote for the best one and pay 0.25 and 0.05 B to the next two.

IF we keep working on a winning logo after the contest, we might consider pay the other 1BTC.

The contest is open until the June 22 but can be extended to the 29th if we believe it would be good for the final outcome.

We are open to ideas and comments.

For keeping a single thread please post your logo in the spanish one (bumping this one too is possible).

Thanks and good luck

Not ready to make it public.
What do you need? What answer was you hopeing to find?

BTW. In the spanish section I suggested some to work on a Bitcoined Viturbio Man (Da Vinci) as a possible new approach.

¿? There is nothing to do in english or spanish, just to mix both concepts on the logo. No colors yet. Orange or gold or silver might be intresting but not imposed at all.

hahaha so funny, creativity has no limits... not the kind of logo we have in mind nor the way we would like the name to be written but you might get the funniest title!

Re-posting from Spanish thread:

Hi all,

here's my idea and explanation:

01. General Coin Image:

People new to this 'new digital money' concept will find it easy to associate themselves with
coins like the ones they use in real life, so I opted for a realistic image of a coin.

02. Text and Binary:

The ones and zeros on the outer rim of the coin actually mean bitcoinear.me like the text on the inner circle.
This is to make these new people understand that now they are in the cryptographic realm of this new currency
which is governed by algorithms, bits, encryption and electronic hardware.
(If you look closely in the center area of the coin you'll see a circuit board pattern too  Wink )
Obviously the textual part is so that everyone can read what the logo is for...

03. Compass and BTCitcoin Symbol:
The compass is the symbol for 'spatially-enabled' object, like in this case Bitcoins Near Me.
With this combined symbols one would instantly know that bitcoins can be found (as in traded, bought, etc)
from any direction they look at...
It is like a 'Bitcoin-finder' device and in fact, this site would be providing this service, no?  Grin

Hope I understood what the OP needs and wants, and after some days thinking about it this is my first idea I came out with.
I can grab a word or two in Spanish but it's ok in English to me, so if you have any comments, suggestions or changes please let me know.

Cheers.  Wink

I like your simple idea, I thinks that this kind of "step" logos might be cool for the site too. The ear is a bit difficult to understand and I ask my self where do the really represent the concept (could you justify?).
