Many people hold bitcoin for a long time because they know it's profitable and they've made a lot of money out of it.

But I've been holding bitcoin for six months, and I feel like I'll hold it for two more years.

Because bitcoin prices are rising day by day, although today the value of bitcoin and other coins is falling in value, then people will save Bitcoin for years. They have many benefits. I think there are people who have held Bitcoin for more than 2 years. Because there are many people who have bought bitcoins cheaply and have made long-term investments.

That's a good outlook towards bitcoin. Though i don't think many share your views because if so, then probably btc won't have sudden panic plunges in value. People need to understand that it's not a short term one time millionnaire thing. Btc still has a long way to go.

A lot of people actually and I don’t think they will tell everyone that they have bought bitcoin at a certain amount and have hold them for 3 years or more, some of them prefered to be discreet about it and enjoy the profits freely without everyone knowing. And I am actually aiming to hold bitcoins and other altcoins for 4-5 years and compare its price when I bought it until it’s current price by then.

This would absolutely be the battle of patience on how long you can hold you bitcoins for the longest time possible. It is just they were also lucky in a sense because the value of bitcoins deviates upward more than the frequency it does goes down. And also, the it increase is much larger than what it actually decrease at times. The perfect example of this is how oil industries adds more price on their products compare on how small their rollbacks.

They are many in number and as you said no one like to share in public that how much bitcoin they have with then because bitcoin is very expensive currency and if they will share about it then it can be harmful for their life as not everyone can afford bitcoin after it goes at peak price. There are a lot of people who are very lucky to have bitcoin as bitcoin can make them rich and in my place there are more than 80% of people who bought bitcoin to save for long time and they are going to sell when bitcoin price will be highest price ever, so they are planning not to sell for 3 or 4 years and I think it is good strategy.

Actually it depends with self control and patience in waiting. For those who hold there bitcoin since from the start of bitcoin i salute you guys. You see they are enjoying the fruit of being patience because price become so high over the years specially the last years price. Unfortunately when we measure the percent of how many people or bitcoin holder can hold bitcoin for more than three years is that only fifty percent. There are still panic sellers out there and more holders cannot wait and will gamble their bitcoin at a very low price because of in need and uncontrollable emotions.

         There are quiet plenty of them around here, as i have been reading here since before, there are few of them who claimed they had bought it when it was still cheaper, while some also just hide their identities and atill remaining quiet about their earnings. As far as i can still remember there is an articke about it, i just forgot the link just try to look for it.

Bitcoin is a form of cryptocurreny in which we could hold so that we could earn. And for me it is the best thing we could possibly do when it comes to have a way for us to earn and to have a profit with bitcoin. I think very few and only a few people from around the World can hold Bitcoin for up to 3 years. Because I'm sure if the price of Bitcoin has gone up, surely those who have Bitcoin will immediately sell it without waiting for that long.

Three years ago it was maybe easier for people to hold their bitcoins! Because they could by some and forget it. Now you see everyday fud news from mainstream media. Everybody knows about bitcoin. And if you buyed some one and tell your friends, everyday when you will see them they will aks you about it. So these factors makes it lot harder to hold bitcoin from nowadays for the future. To much fud around who scares the people to hold!

I disagree with this, holding bitcoin has never been easy for example when bitcoin was just beginning there was a big chance that bitcoin could disappear then after this some years later we had the incident with Mt Gox and that crashed the price and now that it seems were finally getting some good adoption we got another huge crash if you look at the charts of bitcoin you will see a bunch of crashes way bigger than the current one, so holding has always been hard.

I believe there are quite a number of investors who are doing long term investment in the crypto-currencies trading market, we have already seen quite a number of people who became millionaires after holding bitcoin for a couple of years and they belongs to the group who bought bitcoins at a very low rate few years ago.

I think people invested in Bitcoin like retirement plan or long term for other reasons may hold it for 3 years or more. I know some of my friends who bought Bitcoin last year when the price was $1000 and they are still holding it, when I asked them when they will sell and they said they have invested for 5 years as a long term investment. this is a simple question but tol difficult to answer,because even those who calls themselves a HODLERS cant even says may stand for 3 years continuously holding bitcoin specially when pump happens,just like last december 2017 when price climbs up almost $20,000 that caused panic withdrawals to take advantage the highst price bitcoin has even had.so i cant give figures on this one

You are talking about only three years? There are some ultra legends who have held bitcoins for more than 5 years. They had bought bitcoins at such low prices and see the prices now, they have jumped from some tens to thousands. And those legends have got extra pack of profits by showing continues determination and patience towards not selling. So yes, they exists as well and earning money.

Honestly, not all of us could hold bitcoin for more than 3 years because we cannot avoid spending a lot of money in a day or a month, aslong it is our needs. But if a person already has more than 3 bitcoin i think that person can hold bitcoin for more than 3 years without any difficulty in spending their money.

One thing you should know is that Bitcoin is kind of a bit manipulative and the best thing you can do is to set a target and withdraw once you might have accomplished your target or give it a little more time before withdrawing.What I mean is that there are people who usually manipulate the price of Bitcoin and they withdraw immediately before the main investors withdraw. So if you don’t want to be part of those that will end getting that year, it will be best to do the right thing at the right time.

But if a person already has more than 3 bitcoin i think that person can hold bitcoin for more than 3 years without any difficulty in spending their money.

It was a sure thing that the most people who can afford to hold for 3 years is having more than 3 bitcoins in their wallets. Too few people whi had a 3-4 bitcoins will come and hold 3 bitcoin for years. Generally, we can't know how many of them will have a capability to hold and how many bitcoiners have those amount of bitcoins.
