Can altcoins set up their own systems and beat bitcoins?
I do not think altcoin can beat a bitcoin, bitcoin is the base of all altcoin and blockchain technology is the bitcoin itself.
Unless there is a coin that has a very low supply, maybe the price per coin will beat bitcoin, but in case of bitcoin marketcap can not lose

Can altcoins set up their own systems and beat bitcoins?

altcoins has already have their own systems or so called blockchain but i dont think they can beat bitcoins though i can say that some altcoins are much better compared to bitcoins in terms of usage like dogecoin which is great for sending because it has a low transaction fees compared to bitcoins and some altcoins are much more secure and anymous like deeponion and monero but overall altcoins and bitcoins has advantage and disadvantages to each other thats why it is also hard to compare them.

Can altcoins set up their own systems and beat bitcoins?
Yes they can, altcoins can beat bitcoins but as of now there is no existing altcoin that can beat bitcoin because if there is already existing then it will attract a lot of investors to migrate from bitcoin to that altcoin but as you can see that there is nothing change in bitcoin except its price but in the future i really think that there might be a replacement for bitcoin once the people get tired of using bitcoin because of its possible malfunctions.

You should ask yourself that why altcoins exist, some exist to make something that bitcoin can't do, some exist to grab fame and money of bitcoin etc. It depends.

If they are to over take bitcoin, would they do it merging themselves together or individually ? Then, that means they are going to be called a different and agreed name and others are going to be out of business. So, who will go off business because of taking over bitcoin?

This is not possible, bitcoin has taken over and blockchain technology favours bitcoin.

i believe in oneday in the future when altcoins will defeat bitcoin, but that will take a very long time for altcoins to do that, rightnow, bitcoin price is threatening altcoins making altcoins price drop terriblly, but that is just for now, altcoins have more potential to replace bitcoin in the future for no more than 10 years.

I started dealing with Bitcoin in 2013, when it was (as I remember) something like $400 (I call the approximate price for it). In half a year I sold my BTC as I needed money, and I understand now I was wrong doing it. I have invested into BTC again as I am 100% sure no altcoin will ever beat this crypto king. It's life will be long.

I personally think Bitcoins power and life is Limitless. Time and again Bitcoins power has been tested but it has shown how much resistence the coin hold,  while the rest are trying  to keep up. It will last long after we're gone. Simply the future is Bitcoin.

Don't forget that these are not stocks , so the highest price would mean the most profitable. Those are currencies and for a currency to be strong it is no necessary for it to be the of a relevant high price. Take for example Japanese yen. What you are looking for is the One - with the highest community, the fastest trans, the best liquidity.

Can altcoins set up their own systems and beat bitcoins?

i have no idea what you mean by "set up their systems" but if you are thinking about an altcoin can replace bitcoin i say yes it is possible that an altcoin becomes big enough to even replace bitcoin. but forget about all the altcoins that exist today none of them have any chance of doing that. they are too small and full of issues. most of them can not handle a medium number of transactions let alone get near the number of transactions that bitcoin handles every day.

I think it will not be possible. bitcoin is the highest level of all coins I think. if to beat bitcoin maybe a bit impossible. but if it's just to match the price of bitcoin, I think altcoin is capable, though not entirely, and it will not exceed the bitcoin price itself.

Maybe sometime in the future this will happen when some people will need it. But at the moment I think that bitcoin will be a clear leader. And it will be for a long time, because most people start to learn about all this just now

Can altcoins set up their own systems and beat bitcoins?
It can't as the bitcoin was the major or some people call the bitcoin as the mother of crypto which a lot of the volume and the demand already dominated by the bitcoin itself. It will be so difficult because a lot of people just know about the fact bitcoin becomes the main pair in the cryptocurrency. that will make the people familiar to the bitcoin especially for the newcomers. To compete with the bitcoin will be so difficult.
Ethereum only reaches All time market capitalization for 36 billion. But this time bitcoin looks so far away for all of altcoins.

Can altcoins set up their own systems and beat bitcoins?

There are some alt coins that are good with beating other features that bitcoin doesn't have.

But even they will setup their own system that is built to defeat bitcoin, there's no way for an alt to beat bitcoin we all know that bitcoin is king of crypto's.

Time will come that bitcoin will be defeated but not now not for 10 years or for 50 years but maybe after 100 years.  Huh
