Hey I was wondering if there are any Litecoin mining pools with a mining GUI like Bitminter has, any others with a java applet or similar?

EDIT 7/2/2013:  I did eventually find a Java based Litecoin miner similar to Bitminter at https://www.litecoinpool.org/

If you use GUIMiner, you can use it with any pool:

I'm really just looking for a miner that eschews all of the guesswork with settings. Hopefully a miner that is specific to a single pool and only intended for LTC.

GUIMiner actually has presets for common GPUs and several pools. Give it a try. Smiley

Edit: Oops, sorry - you'll want the scrypt version: http://guiminer.org/guiminer-scrypt.html

Just learn to use CGMiner. If you let programs do all the work for you, you might as well just invest in the coins themselves.

What he said!

Last time I used guiminer I almost melted my card.

Use cgminer and keep a happy card.

While I am thankful for the replies you don't seem to have understood my initial question. Are there any "pool specific miners with a GUI" similar to Bitminter and designed for LTC?

I am already very well acquainted with GUIminer, CGminer, Cudaminer, BFGminer and Phoenix. I have used them successfully in the past, but they are not what I am looking for now.

If you've already used all those, what exactly are you looking for that you can't do with them?

I'd like a simple interface with no setup required just like bitminter but for litecoin. Ideally it would be java based and specific to a single pool.

I'm guessing from the lack of responses that Bitminter is unique and no one else has tried to make one for LTC. Anyways I do appreciate the replies, I'll head over to the LTC forums and ask around there.

Seriously, how is the LTC version of GUIMiner not exactly what you're asking for, except it not being just for one specific pool??

And if you got cgminer to work properly, why would you even want something so dumbed down?

If GUIMiner was exactly what I was looking for I wouldn't have posted in the first place.

The various mining programs are good and effective but each are designed for specific types of GPU's. In some cases much tweaking and foot work is needed to get the proper settings. All of the additional software needed for the Miners to operate (SDK, CUDA) and the reinstalling of drivers.

A single unified program that is capable of automatically detecting a GPU (irregardless of brand) and determining the proper settings for best performance is the next step. I used Bitminter as an example as I find their Java application very easy to operate, and is close to what I'd like to see in a mining program.

So once again, I'm looking for is a SIMPLE way to mine that ANYONE can use. No need for any knowledge of how a mining program works.

As for dumbed down; not everyone is a power-user or a tech wiz and I'd like to be able to offer average users, elderly and computer illiterate people a way to join us with this new currency. I'm just looking for more ways to increase the size of our community.
