Ive been searching the forum but i cant find any confirmation on a powered 10 port hub that will line up 9 eruptors to stand straight up. Anyone here know of a 10 port hub that will stand the units up right and work for the RPi? Any links to purchase would be greatly appreciated.

how about a 36 port powered usb hub ... it's not upright, but it's certainly overkill, and that's half the fun.
http://www.amazon.com/Port-Powered-USB-2-0-Hub/dp/B008RXWM1M

here's 16 ports & upright , untested though.
http://usb.brando.com/industrial-usb-16-port-hub_p01936c039d15.html

if you want something official, http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals#Powered_USB_Hubs is a tested list of hubs.

most 7 ports will have 2-3a, you should aim for the 4 amp versions.

Best proven to work Hub is the DLINK D7, but its only 7 ports.  I would recommend 5 USB erupters plus a fan per hub.

I can confirm the D-Link DUB-H7 works with at least 5 Eruptors. Just daisy-chain 2 of them.

I am using this one with the Pi:

http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B003ID923C/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

although I am only using it with 6 eruptors + the Pi I had to use a PC PSU to power that hub, the included adapter was too weak.
Cannot say if it works also with 10 eruptors

That one looks pretty decent actually kind of like the anker ones and you confirmed it works with the PI ? just need a different PSU cuz the adapter is to weak to power the 6 and a pi? Thats the only downside I can see with that kind of a bummer. Sad

yes it worked out of the box, with up to 4 eruptors + Pi with included power adapter.
Had the Belkinn 7 Port before, which also worked with 4 + Pi, but that one has no more space for more than 4 though the ports are horizontal arranged.
Cause I had 6 eruptors, I soldered a wire adapter from Molex (PC-PSU) to the connector of the hub.
But I don't know if it is efficient to run a 700W PC PSu with only 4-5 Amp at the 5V line + 1 fan at 11V ..

The RPi will not work reliably with hubs that try to draw 500mA from their host. The RPi will not work reliably with cascaded hubs. Unfortunately, this rules out a lot of 7 to 10 port USB hubs. Also note that a 10-port hub with a 4A power supply will probably run no more than 8 erupters reliably under any conditions.
