It is definitely an interesting concept. However, they give little of the proof that this technology works and I would be careful before you invest in any money into it. i think $1 billion market cap is overvalued.

I think IOTA has potential. In fact its one of my top 3/coins. However, this is no short term coin. What the coin  be used for is a technology that doesn't exist mainstream yet. IOT has about 5 to 10/years to adoption. So when I think IOTA I think of it with the same timeframe. With its 1billion supply the moon is nowhere close. The price with gradually grow so I hope that doesn't put you off.

IOTA is a cryptocurrency designed for the Internet of Things. But before we get into why the Internet of Things needs IOTA, lets look at what IOTA can offer to the existing cryptocurrency scene. I'm not too sure if works. The whole project seems kinda shady to me. I would be careful. Personally, I am probably going to buy a little just in case but, as it is said a few comments above me, $1 billion seems a bit overvalued in my opinion.

i expect IOTA to be number 1 in CMC by 2019-2020!

at this moment i think the price can dump to 0.1$ because early investors made 50 000% of profit!

IOTA been around long enough to have a high price though that team doesn't have enough marketing to make it easier for people to receive a profit from their investment. I would stay away from it.
