Maybe, it is not as popular with other altcoins such as Monero, Litecoin, etherium and the likes. And honestyly, I don"t know what  coins are grs and vertcoin if it will be succesful in the future. But to share my perspectives on what cpins has potential i am basing on the concept of that coin , if it is timely or not. You may also do further readings with that coins to be mote familiar with.

Can you give reasons why you believe this? I have been hearing good things about Vertcoin, but would like real reasons to invest.

I looked at GRS, trying to figure out what has changed. Something happened on/around the 28th October this year as it just rocketed up in price and volume, and the volume has stayed high!

It's not just a short pump, consistent 30m daily trading volume on bitter alone is nothing to laugh at

Probably the dev of both coin didn't do enough PR for the coin to be noticed or it doesn't have the potential you thought it has.

100% VTC "shill" here. Really like the coin. It did get a lot of (deservered) market attention lately. The current developers put a lot of effort in the coin.  Too bad the rise in price also flooded the reddit channel with "1 day holders". who don't seem to donate anything  but price posts. The donations, for the devs,  seem to be on hold.

GRS was the 2nd best option for people who missed the VTC ASIC resistant train. GRS was pumped,
I do respect the coin, because it has been around since 2014 and is not some dumb ICO.
Too bad it is not a true ASIC resistant coin like VTC + has no real community like VTC.
Before the pump GRS had around 400 subscribers. VTC had 10.000. Also the top 100 seems to be top heavy.  I suspected there would be a GRS pump (they had a small market cap)but did not invest. May sound crazy but It felt like cheating to my LTC and VTC coins. (yes i'm no trader)

You mean wannabe ASIC resistant.
It's current PoW is rather ASIC friendly.

you said you saw a bright future await them, right ?
can you tell me what is the future in your view ? because i did not get it,also there're a lot of project out there that had a potential other than this one.
to be honest it's not really a bad coin or project,
but compared to other coin,i prefer to invest some of my money into them other than this one.
never heard anything about it and it lack an attention,
that is why many people do not really care about it

Yes I thought of bringing it a bit friendlier, but Groestl is not ASIC resistant.
 It is ASIC friendly: http://rijndael.ece.vt.edu/sha3/
I have no idea of there are any ASICS on the market for it

Vertcoin current protocol (lyra2rev) seems to be ASIC resistant  for now.
They have proven to switch protcol in order to keep the slogan: No Asics allowed" alive

from wikipedia:
On July 1, 2014, Vertcoin released a wallet supporting Stealth Address transactions.[8]

On December 13, 2014 (block 208301), Vertcoin forked from Scrypt-Adaptive-N proof-of-work function to Lyra2RE as a proactive defense against emerging Scrypt-Adaptive-N capable ASICs.

On August 10, 2015 (block 347000), Vertcoin forked from Lyra2RE to Lyra2REv2 because a botnet was controlling more than 50% of the hashing power of Vertcoin network.[4]

No, it does not seem ASIC resistant. Its memory footprint is way too small:

Coin                    PoW Memory requirement in MB
Vertcoin               0.006 (poorly documented)
Litecoin                0.125
Monero                2
Ethereum             2048+

Of these, only Ethereum can be said to be seriously ASIC resistant.
Monero is only somewhat ASIC resistant.
