I am using GUIMiner-scrypt alpha and am trying to connect to Burnside's Litecoin mining pool on kattare.com.

Connection info:

Miner: cgminer
Host: ltc.kattare.com
Port: 9332
My username and password (double checked this)
Device: [0-0] Tahiti

I am also trying to use my 7970* (using the GPU defaults).  Is Tahiti the graphics card?  There is another selection but that shows a reference to the AMD 8 core processor.

* XFX AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 DVI/HDMI/Mini DisplayPort PCI-Express Graphics Card FX797ATDFC;FX-797A-TDFC

The miner value is grayed out so I cannot change it.

I deleted the port number and added it to the host (ltc.kattare.com:9332)

I am still getting the same error unfortunately

hi,

I also have the same problem.. are you running it on windows 8? i suspect this might be the problem. I've heard posts elsewhere saying that this problem can be solved be upgrading drive. I've tried that,, but didn't work.
