Are we to expect another altcoin bloodbath before SegWit2x?

Do you guys think there will be a similar situation with SegWit2x as it was with SegWit and Bitcoin Gold?

Well we can never really tell and it could actually go the other way around (bitcoin dies and altcoins rise).
It may all depend on how smoothly the segwit2x fork goes.

Most probably altcoins will fall in price. But I don't think they will fall very much. Because most of people interested in receiving such coins have sold their coins before past fork and now they are waiting for coming fork.

A lot of people believe in the phrase that history repeats itself especially in crypto and i do too
i think that bitcoin will bullrun again leaving altcoins bleeding, you should google some theories about what's to come in the next few weeks.
If the original legacy Bitcoin will remain stable after the hardfork that i'm not sure about, segwit2x definitely has the potential to harm
the whole cryptocurrency community i think. Or maybe history will just repeat itself  and everything will go back to a normal mode after a couple of days.

The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Now with that said, noone knows for sure as we cannot see the future. But if I were to bet, I would say it is to be expected. But bear in mind the cryptocurrency world is nothing like we have seen before, it can be very unpredictable. So sometimes you just have to go with your gut and hope for the best.

When someone mentions SegWit2x the first word that comes to my mind is 'uncertainty'.
No can know for sure how BTC and altcoins are going to react to SegWit2x. We can only guess, and the most recent precedent we have is what happened with BTG. With bitcoin gold the fork barely had an impact, we didn't see a a major dip like many predicted, and overall, nothing major happened.
I recommend you to check the altcoin prices regularly, on a daily basis if you can, so you don't miss the next window to buy/sell.

Yes, and it's already beginning--albeit primarily from the bitcoin pump side of the table rather than the altcoin crash side. But that part will come soon enough.

Really looking forward to bitcoin not forking for a while after this.

Probably yes, but we cant still be sure or guaranteed that it will happen on next segwit2x fork but as we do see on previous forks the price of bitcoin and altcoin do really have significant changes which we can really able to presume that it would behave on the same way on this upcoming fork.This is why we should really not miss the chance on buying cheap and do sell out on peak prices either on bitcoin or on altcoin but the best thing to do on those days approaching is accumulate bitcoin as much as you can while its still cheap and then go shopping on alts while they are on reds.

i think we have to see altcoin bleeding again if bitcoin increase again and i think the price will down and back to the bottom. but i still believe and i am sure that altcoin party will come soon after bitcoin price make correction price and then the altcoin will increase. but my prediction if in november, there is a segwit2x then i think altcoin price will up even for a little but we can prepare to sell to avoid loss.

I think so, as you can see some people are saying about the rumour the next airdrop from the bitcoin itself, and a lot of people are accumulating right now to get the free airdrop coin from hold their bitcoin in those services are will be supporting the b2x coin in the future. I just believe the similar situation will be repeating again. 
The time will tell you about that. At the middle of the next month.

I think so, the price of bitcoin is starting to go up again and the consequence for the bitcoin pump is the bloodbath of the altcoins because they are just depending on the demand of the people in the market so if the altcoin investor or holder will dump their altcoin because they want to get benefit from the pump then the altcoin will just go a lot of dips and dumps.

I believe Segwit2x is going to put more extra pressure on Altcoin market, the but I believe this is a good buying opportunity for those that believe in some projects to buy them at a dirty cheap price, which is what I'm doing currently

the bloodbath for altcoins is a very common thing, it has nothing to do with bitcoin and its forks or its price. the only reason why you see these bloodbaths is the fact that altcoins are pump and dumps and they are mostly in big bubbles that keeps bursting. and when the dumps begin everyone panics and starts selling their coins and the blood fills the streets.

it is very simple to verify this and also see the pattern in it. you just have to open a chart for any of these altcoins and watch it a little. you can see all the big rises and then the continues fall throughout the many months.

to make profit (and not feel like missing out), you just have to invest before the pumps not after they are done and everyone is dumping.

Probably bitcoingold was too a good dump if you had it in a supported exchange. And segwit2x seems to be more professional piece of work.

I think the best trade even though i wont be doing it is sell alts as much as you can enter btc and sell btc just before the fork when peak btc and dip in alts is likely. Segwitx2 is a mess and you dont want to be holding btc or btcx2 unless you are ok to keep it in a wallet until its safe to move it.


Personally i cant be fucked to mess around and will just weather the storm in alts.....if btc does well it lishes alts eventually and if btc crashes then also alts will rise in btc terms.

I'm expecting alts to drop, too. I don't think the bitcoin gold fork is a good comparison though as a lot of people didn't want or value bitcoin gold.
Segwit2x is a much bigger deal. If anything I'd expect the alt dump to be more pronounced than it was with bitcoin cash this summer. But obviously this is just speculation - nobody really knows for sure.

We can easily predict if altcoins will be dumped depending if SegWit2x will give away alt Bitcoin, like Bitcoin Cash.
In that case, altcoin dump is almost a sure thing to happen.
