You can carry and use only one shield, one weapon, one armour and one add-on (elixir for example)

You can also exchange gold to silver. I hope we will be able to add more options how to get more silver soon.

It should have been mentioned that the equipment has a shelf life and can be changed

You are right. This information was mentioned in a section with weapons, but I missed that in a section with shields.
