Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie and wondering if someone can direct me to a book or a page that will explain the blockchain
technology and how it works, I'm still a bit confused about what a blockchain is.
Thanks

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

What is Blockchain Technology?: https://www.coindesk.com/information/what-is-blockchain-technology/
A Beginner's Guide to Blockchain Technology (guide compilation): https://www.coindesk.com/information/

Also, lookup Andreas Antonopoulos on YouTube. Videos are quite long, but they're very good in my opinion.

Here is a very quick and simplified explanation :

Bitcoins blockchain basically works as groups of decentralized systems working together to solve mathematical problems in the form of bitcoin transactions. When a system thinks it has solved a block or group or problems, the other systems check its work, and if 50% or more of the systems agree, the block is added to the blockchain. This is basically how the blockchain technology works, very simplified of course.

I often find reading material to be dry and dull so I use youtube to learn things like beginner stuff on blockchain. This 2 min video should help you get a jist of what blockchains are about

There are a lot of ways in where you can understand how it works, in wikipedia there is a strong concept about bitcoin and the whole blockchain technology, maybe you could take a look at that.
Or just go to coindesk or blockchain.com and there is a review about the whole blockchain too.
But why do you need that? you dont need to be very introduced in order to start using bitcoin, you only need some money and skills..
