I've come across that word a couple of times and would want to know its meaning and what it involves. How do members benefit from airdrops?

Aidrops are free tokens etc which are given away to participants, in the airdrop thread there will be rules and a registeration form (Website or google form) which must be filled with valid information.
Airdrops are mostly conducted through Ethereum or waves, so you should have a wallet from it to receive the airdrop (only personal wallet like myetherwallet, metamask etc for Ethereum, not exchange wallets like coinbase etc)
