you need to deposit some gas fee in your wallet to trade in etherdelta. So you need to buy some eth. thats the only one option for you .

If you are not having ethereum to pay gas and you will not able to make any transaction or send your token/ethereum into another wallet. The gas becomes a mandatory for every ethereum or erc20 token holders.
You may try to deposit at least 0,001 eth and you will be able to do a trade activity on etherdelta. Just give a suggestion about every transaction in etherdelta will cost gas or fees. Will be better to put the more ethereum in your wallet.

Your understanding about gas is a little bit wrong.
The transaction fee in Ethereum network is calculated by this way: gas number * gas price. A certain amount of the gas is needed for any operation. For eth transaction, the gas limit is 21000, which means for transaction eth, you need at least 21000 gas. And for  token transaction, i think the gas limit is doubled. And the second part is the gas price, usually the unit is default as Gwei, wei is the smallest unit in Ethereum network. 1 ETH= 1018wei. The higher gas price you give, the faster your transaction will be processed. For etherdelta, you can not set gas limit, but only gas price. If you want to change the gas number you need use chrome plugin metamask.

Well I'm sorry to disagree....21,000 GAS per transaction is ridiculous!

How to do if i dont have gas on my wallet?

I think gas is like the equivalent of mining fee in bitcoin market if I'm correct. I have a similar issues as yours, I have a token in myetherwallet and when I try to send it a exchanges, I can't and later did I know that I have to deposit some eth on myetherwallet so that I can moved it to the exchanges. But good thing I didn't moved it because the price is really going up lately, so I can't answer your questions regarding how much eth you need in able to get your tokens out to a exchanges.

You need sent some ETH to wallet you want to add etherdelta ( about 0.1 ETH as your GAS fee)
And then you can make a contract with etherdelta to buy and sell your coin1

For every transaction on ethereum platform you need to pay transaction fees from whole transaction amount. These fees are  paid  by users to the miners fas reward for mining the blocks of transactions and securing the block chain. The fees constitute gas limit multiple by gas price.

Ether Ttransaction  Fees = Gas Limit * Gas Price

Gas limit - The gas limit is  is 21,000 but could be higher  . It depends on the number of codes needed to execute your transaction.

Gas Price- This is the other variable in ether transaction fee measured in gwei. It determine how fast your transaction will be pick by miners to complete. The higher you pay the  faster your transaction is completed

I think i found a good topic to ask about my issue with min gas required for ethereum transactions. I have to claim my reward from a contract address. The bounty manager announce the address and the ABI

Dear participants of the bounty!

We are pleased to inform you that you can get your bounty!

To get tokens SNTR you need to:

1) To add to the wallet address of the contract bounty:

Code:
0x3d05317111A96a1a6aBF31e07B0CfA33173a19AA
2) Add ABI

Code:
[{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"DURATION","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"name":"collectedAddresses","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":false,"inputs":[{"name":"receiver","type":"address"},{"name":"tokenAmount","type":"uint256"}],"name":"importReward","outputs":[],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"teamWallet","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"name":"bountyRewards","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"collectedAddressesCount","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"startTime","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":false,"inputs":[],"name":"withdrawRemainder","outputs":[],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"function"},{"constant":false,"inputs":[{"name":"receiver","type":"address"}],"name":"clearReward","outputs":[],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"owner","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":false,"inputs":[],"name":"claimReward","outputs":[],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"function"},{"constant":false,"inputs":[{"name":"newOwner","type":"address"}],"name":"transferOwnership","outputs":[],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"token","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"inputs":[{"name":"_token","type":"address"},{"name":"_teamWallet","type":"address"},{"name":"_startTime","type":"uint256"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"constructor"},{"payable":true,"stateMutability":"payable","type":"fallback"},{"anonymous":false,"inputs":[{"indexed":false,"name":"receiver","type":"address"},{"indexed":false,"name":"amount","type":"uint256"}],"name":"Claimed","type":"event"}]

3) Activating the contract on behalf of address (address of party bounty) performing the method claimReward().

4) Please note that the contract is available to obtain tokens SNTR for 13 days, including today.

In conclusion, I want to thank the participants in the bounty for your patience!

Note that despite the fact that we failed to raise the softcap in the framework of earlier conducted the TSO and the bounty we have no obligations to participants, We tried to accrue a bounty from the share of teams.

Thank you for our support! Good luck!

As am not so familiar interacting with contracts in ethereum, i followed carefully all steps as provided by a helper here:

I decided to do this since I saw several members posting that they still haven't claimed their coins and there's still no clear step by step instructions. The given one might be unclear to those first timers to use the contract.

Note: This is for MEW users.

STEP 1: Go to www.myetherwallet.com

STEP 2: Click Contracts tab

STEP 3: Put the Contract Address and ABI given by @Sythyn HERE in their correct place in MEW then Click ACCESS

1) To add to the wallet address of the contract bounty:
Code:
0x3d05317111A96a1a6aBF31e07B0CfA33173a19AA
2) Add ABI
Code:
[{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"DURATION","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"name":"collectedAddresses","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":false,"inputs":[{"name":"receiver","type":"address"},{"name":"tokenAmount","type":"uint256"}],"name":"importReward","outputs":[],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"teamWallet","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"name":"bountyRewards","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"collectedAddressesCount","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"startTime","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"uint256"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":false,"inputs":[],"name":"withdrawRemainder","outputs":[],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"function"},{"constant":false,"inputs":[{"name":"receiver","type":"address"}],"name":"clearReward","outputs":[],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"owner","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"constant":false,"inputs":[],"name":"claimReward","outputs":[],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"function"},{"constant":false,"inputs":[{"name":"newOwner","type":"address"}],"name":"transferOwnership","outputs":[],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"function"},{"constant":true,"inputs":[],"name":"token","outputs":[{"name":"","type":"address"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"view","type":"function"},{"inputs":[{"name":"_token","type":"address"},{"name":"_teamWallet","type":"address"},{"name":"_startTime","type":"uint256"}],"payable":false,"stateMutability":"nonpayable","type":"constructor"},{"payable":true,"stateMutability":"payable","type":"fallback"},{"anonymous":false,"inputs":[{"indexed":false,"name":"receiver","type":"address"},{"indexed":false,"name":"amount","type":"uint256"}],"name":"Claimed","type":"event"}]

STEP 4: Click "Select a Function" and choose "claimReward"
STEP 5: Unlock your wallet in anyway you prefer then click WRITE

STEP 6: In my case, Amount to Send ( 0 ) --- and --- the default Gas Limit ( 140650 ) [I edited the image to show how it looks like when I claimed]
NOTE: As far as I know it won't be a success if your Gas limit is -1 . You should put enough Gas, you're able to edit that Gas Limit

STEP 7: Click Generate Transaction
STEP 8: You'll see another pop up page. Confirm that you're sure of making the transaction.

NOTE: You should have eth in your wallet to pay for the fee

Good luck!

My wallet address is in that contract and shown with the number of my tokens. After finishing all steps, and set the gas limit at 140650, it shows a message that i should have 0.01 eth in my balance to cover the fees despite i have 0.112 in my wallet. here is my wallet address if anyone will to make a further understanding of the situation: 0xe75dC7Ec9DDc2928A4AF459a61417F553F85AC7F

Unhopefully, there is no much help understanding ethereum all over the network.

I think you are fucked mate, you participated in a bounty program of a failed project and now in order to claim your so called bounty tokens you will

Have to spend more than what you could normally get from that bounty if it was successful, they even said that, they're paying the participants with

Their own team's token. I don't know what's with all of this complexity of smart contracts? their need for people to have Eth on their wallets seems

To never end.

Maybe you are right for that, but they should have more than that to get out sending tokens, if inside their ETH wallet is only 0.1 maybe it will not be able to get out, because Gas limit to send it.

It wont work, you can set your gas price or fee in the top right corner. I find having more than 10 gwei helps whereas less than that probably is slow unless you are willing to wait it.
