Hey guys, I’m running a rig with 8X1070 in Windows 10 and mining ETH + DCR. things were going smoothly but suddenly the claymore detecting only 7 instead of 8 GPUs.

Sometimes when I restart the rig it detects all 8 but the entire system crashes in few mins. But when it detectes only 7 then the rig is stable and running very well.

Any idea what the problem is and Any suggestion ok how to fix it please

Identify the Faulty GPU, try to isolate GPU's one by one, usually bad risers are the culprits. you may also check the logs to see any behavior before it crashes. from there you will have an idea what to do.

Do a DDU to nuke all the drivers in safe mode and then try reinstalling them. I like to install the AMD drivers first and the Nvidia drivers last.

Do you see all 8 GPU's in Device Manager?  If Windows doesn't see it then the problem is not Claymore.  Like Leonix007 said, most likely faulty risers.  If you have a spare riser try swapping that on each card to see if that has any effect.  You should also check the power supply if swapping out the risers doesn't do anything.

Yes, I see all 8 GPU in the windows devices manager and also in MSI after burner. It’s not showing up in claymore and above error is shown in the console window.

Alright. It’s started detecting all GPUs once again after removing all connections and put them back few times. So the issue might be due to loose connections I guess. Anyways my rig is now running with full force. Cheers!!
