Hi guys, going to buy a used rig, which is better value for my money? Or do both suck and I shouldn't get either one?
$1600 rig with 6x Zotac GTX 1060 3GB Mini (claims ~140 Mh/s) or $2000 rig with 7x XFX RX 570 4GB (claims ~186 Mh/s)
Hoping to talk price down by $100-$200, but is either one worth getting?

Personally I would go for the RX 570 rig as your getting more hash rate for not much dearer price, they both seem pretty good value for pre-built systems.
If they are used the other things to look out for are how long of warranty is left, if they were in a dusty environment and how long they have been mining for.
Finally what determines if they are worth getting is your electricity costs and you should also calculate profitability on whattomine to get an idea on how long ROI will take.

I would build my own rig with gtx 1060 3gb, just not that Zotac model. It has a very basic cooler - it is kind of ok for mining ethereum with downvolting but in case you would use it for any other algorithms the performance would be 10-15% lower compared to 1060 with better cooling.

I think both are expensive. If your budget is around 1600$-2000$, better option is purchasing rig with 3 x Vega56 or 3 x GTX1070 Ti.

No doubts. You should clearly go for the RX 570 rig. Why? First because the 3GB variant of the 1060 is already OBSOLETE. You can't even mine Ethereum with those because of the regular increase in DAG file size. In reality even the 4GB RX 570s are also in danger of becoming unusable for ETH mining. Just make sure you do your own research on what you're going to mine first. It seems like you're buying without even knowing what to mine.

I'll go with 570. 1060 3GB mini has many issues. With its 3GB VRAM you are going to be unable to mine ethereum since March 2018 due DAG size. People don;t recommend mini version because it lacks power supply and cooling power.

Be smart, go with the first option but do not mine Ethereum but Zcash, is 290 sol/s per card or almost 1800 sol/s in total. I have my own personal rig on Nvidia (although I manage a lot of AMD rigs for friends) and what I have seen from personal experience is, Nvidias cards are more stable and very rarely produce an error.
Even the second option is good too if you have the money but I would not invest more than 1600 usd for a mining rig as of now so personally I would go with first option.

So concensus seems like 570 rig? What cards world have potential higher resale value?
In terms I'd what I'd be mining, I'd lowly just throw it on nice hash or something.
