I dont think that website will give me much information about BTG.

..But where is the creativity, FiniteByDesign?

That is the actual BCG logo (which I did not design).

That reminds me of something...

(OT: Shouldn't the date say something like "November, maybe?")

LOL.

Gotta admit I would be suprised if these sell (out). Design is very boring, BGold itself is... debateable. Might be not even remembered in three months from now.

Don't get me wrong, I've been a buyer of F*D products in the past. Just have to agree that this one isn't really exciting.

That is the actual BCG logo (which I did not design).
The problems stem from your coins just lifting the logo of a crypto-currency and putting it on a silver round without any sort of creativity or thought, rather than the logos themselves.

I mean, this coin just looks like a rehash of this one, but with some different text on the top and bottom. Really?

Thank you for the input. My intention was to stay true to the logo of the actual coin and offer a limited edition physical keepsake to commemorate the historic event. As with anything, you cannot please everyone.

Link has been corrected.

October was the date the fork occurred, not sure why November is being suggested.

As with anything, you cannot please everyone.
Opinions differ, true indeed. Don't think any coin producer ever managed to provide an item everyone liked.
Yet, ignoring suggestions and feedback over a long time could lead to losing customers, eventually.

I dont think this requires you to provide a product so...blunt.
Take a look at the Casascius St. Petersburg Bitcoin Bowl Coin, at the CryptoImperator Bitcoin Halving Commemerative Coin, or at the Denarium Gold Parity Coin.
All these items are commemorative coins about specific historic events, and all have some unique design to them, something that shows the creator had an idea,
how to represent the event and how to make the coin appealing to collectors.
Wouldnt you agree commemorating works better if you have a very special item to do so?

I am not ignoring suggestions and feedback, I have read every piece of it and thanked the contributors for their input. Not sure how this got misinterpreted as ignoring.

The only coin I am familiar with that you mentioned is the St Pete Casascius one, which I purchased and am keeping as an heirloom. The design however consisted of simply taking the logo shield of the bowl itself and adding 1's and 0's behind it. Not a lot of redesign happening there and I think this is a good thing personally. If the design were changed it would not correlate as well to the actual event of the Bitcoin Bowl itself.

Wouldnt you agree commemorating works better if you have a very special item to do so?

Of course!

October was the date the fork occurred, not sure why November is being suggested.
October was when the snapshot of the blockchain for the fork happened, however to my knowledge an actual usable client has yet to be released. One could expect that to be released in November, which may be the reasoning.

The design however consisted of simply taking the logo shield of the bowl itself and adding 1's and 0's behind it. Not a lot of redesign happening there and I think this is a good thing personally. If the design were changed it would not correlate as well to the actual event of the Bitcoin Bowl itself.
However, by adding those 1s and 0s (in addition to choosing to gilt certain parts of the coin) it makes it much more interesting to look at than a plain silver round with some logos and a bit of text on each side. If compared side to side to the coin in the OP, I think it's made especially clear:

(Apologies for the low quality images)
I'm no designer, but I know which one I would rather have in my collection (based solely on design).

I've been harsh to you in the past but I've felt like you deserve the truth from us customers as I've heard others say the same things.

With this design I think you've done great! This is more like it f*d. All things considered I think it's the continuing launch of 1oz silver coins that bugs most people. Have you ever thought of going back to making those amazing bars? I've had a few in my hand, both BTC and ETH (I think it was ETH bars you did, right?) and they've been very impressive in design and weight, price too!

While I personally won't buy one of these, I gotta appreciate you reworking the design. It's far better than the first draft.
Hopefully, this will also have an influence on how future coins are designed.
