Hello,

The digitalcoin and Argentum development teams are merging into one unit. The two currencies will remain separate but the expertise of both teams will be shared.

There are many reasons for doing this:
1. Strengthen development
2. Quicken the pace of service introduction
3. Share knowledge and expertise
4. Save time by sharing services
5. Lastly, and most significantly, this enables both of our ongoing projects which require multiple instantaneous currencies to function optimally to move forward

Here is the new structure:
Lead Developer: baritus
Developers: AlphaC, Anon
Web developers: 2
Software developers: 2

digitalcoin will benefit from an enlarged team and integration into further services. Argentum will benefit from experience and a larger development support base.

This seems weird.  Aren't Argentum and DGC pretty similar?  You would think they would be competing...

Edit:  Not trying to cause trouble, and I have supported both coins.

Why compete when you can avoid it?  Smiley

if the coins can capitalize on shared coding and support I'm all for it.  As long as you are able to differentiate each one.  I don't want to see the same features being implemented in both coins if they are meant to serve different purposes.  I would like to see what your development paths are for each coin and what makes then distinct.

Interesting.  Hopefully, DGC can use some of the funds from ARG.  DGC funds are running dry.   Smiley

I don't think ARG is on an exchange yet, so no funds I think.

Is DGC going to be funding ARG in any way?

DGC has a future. I really don't see a future for ARG.

I meant ARG for bounties...  AlphaC has plenty of it.   Use it wisely.   Grin

Two coins.. Different characteristics, both useful in their own way.

We would rather work together than against each other. Do you not find allies a good move forward?

A larger team supporting both coins can only strengthen both. This is a great decision.

I don't see any problem with allies I just don't see the purpose of further market dilution.

Why have two people work on similar things when you can one two people work on one thing and get twice as far.

Regardless best of luck on your journey!

US dollars are useful.

Euro is useful.

They serve the same purpose pretty much, but being allies increases them both in the face of competition.

There are more than just DGC and ARG here. An alliance gives these two an advantage.

u can start making a multi wallet having DGC and ARG together. My wallet folder starts being too big Tongue

Anyway, DGC sounds better than ARG....

So does this mean you will eventually create another coin that is some sort of a byproduct of DGC and ARG?

There aren't plans to create a third. There are plans to create a new way of using crypto-currency which is only possible with two such currencies.

If joining forces, why keep both alive? It would make more sense to throw all efforts at one coin instead of two... either way both will probably die.
