We're excited to announce FundCru, the blockchain-powered, "commercialized" fundraising platform. We are based in Silicon Valley (Santa Clara, California) and have been developing our smart contracts and core technologies since 2015.

Our team is highly experienced: our most notable members are the co-founder and former CTO of Vormetric and the former CEO of Make-A-Wish, an international non-profit organization.

We have much in store already and hope that with the funds raised through our ICO (starting on December 5, 2017 at 13:00 UTC), we'll be able to revolutionize fundraising.

About FundCru
FundCru is the blockchain-powered, “commercialized” fundraising platform that funds causes through eCommerce sales (comprising gift cards, vouchers, and coupons) and direct donations using both cryptocurrency and fiat money. FundCru is designed to address the problems that stem from inefficiencies in fundraising and customer loyalty programs.

FundCru stands at the crossroads of the multi-billion dollar fundraising and gift card industries. Currently, online and offline fundraising efforts still face significant limitations, including inefficient fundraising methods, high operational costs, and reliance on donations. FundCru aims to solve these issues by funding causes through merchant sales in addition to donations. Combined with a novel business model, FundCru connects merchants and cause-supporters through a common thread, fundraisers, and thereby improves customer loyalty.

On FundCru, supporters will be able support their favorite fundraising campaigns by either 1) purchasing from an onboarded merchant, 2) through direct donations, or 3) through "engagement" and promoting and sharing the campaign on social media. Transactions can be made using cryptocurrency or fiat money, depending on the merchant and/or fundraiser. If a supporter chooses to purchase from a merchant, he/she will then be able to select any fundraiser on the platform for FundCru send funds to.

FundCru will not charge fundraisers any platform fees on any funds received.

FundCru will also provide fundraisers with additional revenue sources by funding them with a percentage of merchant sales (typically 25%).

Blockchain

FundCru’s main contribution to the blockchain ecosystem is that all gift cards, coupons, and vouchers that are sold are implemented and managed entirely as smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain, regardless of whether they were purchased using fiat money or cryptocurrency. These smart contracts follow standard financial exchange protocols, so they can be transacted easily using QR codes.

Once these smart contracts have been deployed, customers and businesses can transact just as they normally would while knowing that all currency storage and transfers occur without any reliance on centralized services or third-party entities, including FundCru itself. This ensures compliance, scalability, and security.

We can't judge this directly by seeing this page only take it farther research because i mistaken many times that some of this project with lack of details in front of the thread is the ICO that is worth to invest if they have a good promising roadmap or plans.

This is truly a great project. The team/crew behind it is great based on my interactions with them. They are very attentive to questions and really respect suggestions and opinions. The developers are patient and really take their time to make sure that people who join and decided to support them are taken care of. Wow! Glad to see so many questions. Before I address this question, I just want to let you know that most of the questions I've seen are addressed in our whitepaper.

With that said, let me start by answering questions about the charities / fundraisers / organizations. Our platform is currently open to sponsored events. Because we are in our early stages, doing so allows us to gain valuable feedback about our current product so that we can make necessary improvements before rolling it out to the public. Our current fundraising event targets a cause in our state, California (in the USA). California has recently experienced major fires, so we aim to help those affected (You can support this fundraiser here! For this event, 100% of funds raised will be given to the organization.)

Our longterm vision is to enable anyone (from small groups to large charities) to fundraise on our site (similar to GoFundMe or YouCaring). Our founders' current plan is to focus on fundraising for "causes" (so charities, community efforts, etc.) rather than projects, so currently, we are NOT aiming to become another Kickstarter.

The main thing that will differentiate FundCru in the long-run is that merchants will be able to sell coupons and gift cards on our site. Our reason for doing so is explained more thoroughly in our whitepaper., but the short answer is that doing so will help fundraisers raise money faster and merchants obtain loyal customers.

It's very cool that your company wants to be socially responsible. The idea to help the victims in the fires is very good. In such situations, any help is valuable.
About project: I think the idea of coupons has already exhausted itself. Companies are forced to provide large discounts in order to keep the audience's interest constant, it`s often leads to a decrease in quality. Maybe instead of discounts, you should pay attention to the cashback system with real money or tokens?
