Maintenance Notification:
The weekend of 10-11 march AVE platform and mining will temporarily be on maintenance to update to Avesta Core v2 Fantastic news :-) Keep up the great work everyone. 2018-Mar-08 19:39:26.916133 INFO [MinerManager] requesting mining parameters 2018-Mar-08 19:39:26.961251 WARNING [MinerManager] Couldn't get block template: Coreisbusy Fatal: Coreisbusy Hi! Yup this is a pretty common issue, the copy of Avestad your mining too isn't fully online\is busy syncing\re-syncring. When you start Avestad it bumbles around for a while (could take a few hours the first time you launch it) and eventually you'll get a message saying that it has sucessfully sync'd to the network and that you can now 'open simple wallet' (which currently isn't a thing). That's when you can start mining. I've found that it runs MUCH better on Linux and it is also heavily single threaded so is closely tied to the performance of a single core. Single core performance and IO seem to have the biggest impact on Avestad at present. While your waiting feel free to point your miner at 'avesta.webredirect.org' "miner --address xxxxxxxxxx --log-level 3 --daemon-address avesta.webredirect.org:9971 --threads x" That's my coppy of Avestad and I share it with a friend, you are welcome to join us. It's a dedicated linux box with a fast CPU and avestad running from a RAM drive. If\when it goes offline occasionally give it a few minutes and it'll be back up, there are scripts to recover it autmatically. Just replace xxxxxxxxxx with your address and set threads to your CPU's ammount of level 3 cache divided by 2MB e.g. if your CPU has 8MB of level 3 cache set it to ''--threads 4"

Mark, daemon its not working for at least 1 week, nodes are out of sync, its only possible to mine directly and even this weekend the network was supposed to come down to an upgrade on blockchain and nodes.

Thank you for the info. Up untill yesterday everything appeared to be working fine while mining to my local copy of Avestad. Avestad was reporting that it was sucessfully sync'd to the network, and I was getting block found messages in the miner. The Avestad logs were also reporting 'block added to main chain' while referencing block hashes that my miners had found. When it went down yerterday I assumed it was due to the upgrade, but as nothing seems to have happened I was going to carry on. In light of the above I'm not sure how to interprit what you are saying? Does this mean that it was working when it shouldn't have been, or are you saying that despite it saying it was working it wasn't actually working and that's 5 days of mining down the pan? Also, you did mention that you were thinking about centralising all the mining through a central URL, but I haven't seen any actual announcement for this change? I thought this was just something you were considering, and given that mining to a local copy of Avestad was working fine (or at least appearing too) no one would have any reason to think otherwise. PS: my copy of AvestaD on another machine has just sync'd, are you sure the network is offline? 18-Mar-11 22:31:08.586650 INFO ********************************************************************** 2018-Mar-11 22:31:08.586650 INFO You are now synchronized with the network. You may now start simplewallet. 2018-Mar-11 22:31:08.586650 INFO 2018-Mar-11 22:31:08.586650 INFO Please note, that the blockchain will be saved only after you quit the daemon with "exit" command or if you use "save" command. 2018-Mar-11 22:31:08.586650 INFO Otherwise, you will possibly need to synchronize the blockchain again. 2018-Mar-11 22:31:08.586650 INFO 2018-Mar-11 22:31:08.586650 INFO Use "help" command to see the list of available commands. 2018-Mar-11 22:31:08.586650 INFO **********************************************************************
EDIT: It looks like my copy of Avestad is coming online because it is seeing at least two other nodes online, but it can't sync to the vast majority. I'm guessing that the nodes it can talk to havent been restarted/think they are still online when really they aren't. Announcing things like the network going offline 5 days ago would be nice before it happens. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Oh well, if it's a few days of mining down the pan then so be it, there's plenty more days ahead ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Hi, Avesta has a blockchain specially developed for the use in Point of Sales. The platform will aggregate all payment services on one platform. And we're making crypto mass-adoption happen. https://www.ccn.com/user-interfaces-will-bridge-educational-gap-enhance-adoption-cryptocurrencies/In the following article I'm mentioned about crypto-mass adoption.

I have downloaded the latest build and run the new avesta.exe from the bat file provided (which i am guessing is now hardwired to your core node??), adding my account to the bat command, but have had no joy making a successful connection. Its been like this from the beginning. Any ideas / comments as to whats going on? It just returns coreisbusy

Hi there,
Mining should be available now. At the moment avesta core is under attack and we're working on preventing this and improving the stability.

As we’re basically mining blind at the moment, how long do the payments take to transfer into our wallets? Very curious about the amount of coins I’ve mined so far... Yes, pretty much. They have to push mining rewards manually at the moment so it can be anything from a day too several days before your balance updates. What I can say with certainty is that it's deffinately worth it and you should throw everything you have at it. If my kitchen sink could hash, it would be mining right now.....funny man!

Hi, you need to create your wallet at Avesta site, and that is the only wallet available, since we are still on beta, does not work every time, they are updating the wallet, roughly, once a week.

Updating once a week, even on the beta version - it's cool. I believe in such projects. Now I bought some safinus tokens - they also really work
