When the Bitcoin Cash fork happened and you had your bitcoin in electrum wallet all you hade to do was to download electrum cash and you could access your cash.

Any wallet that have stated they plan to do the same for segwit2x?

(Not interested in moving my BTC to an exchange that "say" they will support both)

Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

Yes i think it will the same as bitcoin cash like other said ..i am waiting for new announcement about this ..
Did you get your bitcoin gold? as of now there is no supported wallet  base on other people who posted here much better to check this site for more info for bitcoin gold https://bitcoingold.org/

And i heard other people said that you can also use coinomi that support bitcoin gold but i still didn't tested yet because the security of bitcoin gold is low base on what i heard so better to be careful and wait for real announcement..

Bitcoin Gold hadn't even launched a public "testnet" yet... Let alone a "mainnet"... So there isn't anything to claim: https://bitcoingold.org/replay-protection-development/

They have apparently implemented 2way replay protection though, so that's good... And it seems like they're going to release a fork of Electrum for BTG.

As for 2x, it seems like they're purposely NOT implementing 2way protection, so they don't become an altcoin, but are trying to become THE Bitcoin... The idea being that wallet and Bitcoin service providers don't need to update anything to with with 2X

As such, I think that most Bitcoin wallets will continue to work with 2x... You'll probably find that Electrum shows the different chains in the network window like ThomasV indicated Electrum would (before BCH implemented replay protection.)

By default Electrum would use the longest chain... But you could manually select the other one if you wanted.

Some want the segwit2x model some want the bitcoin model. I think there will be two currencies no matter what.
If bitcoin remain the largest segwit2x will still be there, no? Someone will add replay protection and continue on thei own fork.
If segwit2x will become the largest and they steal the name, the bitcoin followers will make some minor changes (add their own replay protection) and change name to Bitcoin Classic or something like that.

No I haven't the BTC Gold, it seems you've needed to have it on some specific exchanges, and I didn't read about it until after the fork, but I wouldn't have moved my BTC to an exchange just for the promise of receiveing Gold anyway. I don't care much about the Gold, if they get stable and a serious currency, and I read others success-stories, I'll try to get my hands on mine. Until then I wait.
