1) Utility of the token for holders (e.g., dividends, burns, staking)
2) real-world application
3) working product
4) team experience
5) advisors

Good luck, it's a dog world out there!

I can agree with this, plus if it benefits the community and its users.

Before investing in ICO projects, learning about it is very important and should be done to make the right decision. The first thing I consider is the white paper and the roadmap of that ICO project. White paper contains almost all information about the project, if it is transparent, clear and has a reasonable roadmap, I would like it. Besides, I am also interested in the development team, if they have experience and prestige, will cause better effects for the project Cheesy

Do you really need to invest in an ICO, when there are many other non ICO alternatives available.
What does it actually offer that isn't on the market right now

I am thinking the ICOs are much more affordable, plus you have the change to contribute in early days of a company Smiley
Are you guys reading the whitepapers for all the ICOs? Where do you get the information from?

You can find the ICO whether that is a legit one or not with the white paper release and blog. These having the information about the ICO whether it is legit to invest or not.
Utrust, Global and confido are the best and trusted ICO of this month you can go without any problem.
If there is any escrow to manage the token you can go with that by the token sale.

Personally, my very first filter is if I am familiar with the industry. I won’t invest in an industry I don’t understand how it works (like supercomputers) because I won’t be able to tell if the white paper is good or a bunch of garbage.

Then I look at the quality of the white paper and of the team

every person should have some point that are significant for them in choosing ICO.
my list - 1.Team and it background, 2.Timeline of projects a clearly and easily to understand, 3. Have partnership with fonds or organizations, 4.in WP there is information abt amount of money to each stage, 5. Good support in social media, and good customer service in official resources.
For this reason I choose Confi, https://icobench.com/ico/confideal. Good reputation of project and team, good rating also
It will start tomorrow

The first thing I will consider will be the business model. It must be disruptive to the market and solving existing problems.

Then I will read the development timeline and analyse whether it is reasonable and whether project target funding amount is reasonable.

There are a lot more to find out and reading the white paper is important.

First you need to look into the devs and the actual project promised. Try to view some white papers. Also look at the community. Then at that point I just hope it works out. In anycase it is a risk and I know that going in.

Just research what the coin is about and then decide if you want to invest in it. There is a bunch of coins with valuable information on it though they might not have enough backers to support the price as well, so look for that too.

What's the best time to invest in an ICO? In the early days? Or maybe just before ending?
