Bitcoin is a tool. Bitcoiners might be honey badgers, but there is no inherent emotion involved in bitcoin, just as there is no inherent emotion involved in banks, government, accounting, management, cash, etc. Just because bitcoin enables tax evaders to evade tax doesn't mean its mascot should be "Terry the Tax Traitor". Just because bitcoin enables drug purchases on SilkRoad much easier and safer than any drug buy ever before in the history of mankind, it doesn't mean its mascot should be "Sam the SilkRoad Salesmen". What about bitcoin inherently "doesn't care"? It seems a currency that keeps relative privacy, insanely high security by protocol, and a decentralized nature would be more of a currency that *does* care, don't you think? If anything, the banks would be the honey badgers and bitcoin would be the dog-- man's best friend.
