I didn't say to use your passphrase. I specficaly mention to use private keys.

Yes, there is. Just let your electrum to show you the QR of private key and scan it. But if you are using segwit address (begins with 3) it will not work.

or could I take the private keys from electrum and import them to new BTG wallet?

This is also option but requires you to download BTG blockchain ... which I found unnecessary for most users.

my electrum wallet has 162 private keys.....is there a faster way than adding them 1 by 1, or is there a way to figure out which private key has the BTG on it?

I udestand my way is unhandy for claiming coins from multiple addresses (not my case, I have tracked where my BTCs were before the fork happened and then swept only those addresses).
I'm pretty sure there is an option how to claim coins from multiple privatekeys (using your wallet seed) but I don't know the specific procedure. If somobody is aware, feel free to share it and I will update the OP.

Does anybody else having the problem with Coinomi, that the 3 little dots on the right upper side (which when you click show the 'sweep' function) are not showing up? I can't sweep because next to the QR sign, there is nothing else.

I can't ( don't have required knowledge). Just my amateurish opinion. Segwit is using different address format and some additional coding has to be implemented by wallets (to undestand the address format). But devs obviously not so much hurry in. I can't tell why. maybe it's to much work, maybe they don't believe in segwit. Who knows.

Hello, i used the ht tps://btgwallet.online .I generate a wallet there and used for mine .
Now i want to claim this but i don't find any program to import the private key because said it is invalid  or something like this.
This is my wallet
Address GgASZ2Qvpi2SjmGzt6a1GLEFpLyqycqEDU   (i have almost 4,5 BTG mined on it)

The above mentioned site is most probably scam (please edit the link to not be clickable). I'm afraid you won't get your coins out of it.

But I suspect the private key provided to you is not the actual private key to that address.


Why did you used this service? There is so many red flags around (but I bet you found them through official BTG site ... those devs did really amateurish job IMO ... don't even cared about what they are publishing)
1 - the domain ... one of the cheapest domains available.
2 - there is no official announcement of such wallet ... do you think serious wallet creator would stay in silence?

I'm going to put a big warning into OP because this is too much.

The site is not a wallet rather just address generator ... but I would still be cautious using them.

Using the original BTG client. But since this one was also compromised by hacker I don't find it as a best solution. You would also need to download entire blockchain.
Aternatively you can use some android emulator.
