I just purchased my first mining rig!!!! I'm super pumped to start mining.  I contemplated about purchasing coins outright and mining but I think this is the best way to go!  Let me know if you agree

I can feel your excitement, because I just purchased a BitMain AntMiner S7 few days ago, just started mining yesterday.

May I know, what type of mining rig you bought there?

If you are just starting out you should learn a lot about the types of excavators to suit the current miner. Then find out where the electricity is low and have the right temperature for bitcoin miners. If you meet these requirements then you have succeeded in part.

Can you say something about your mining setup, your electricty costs and what coins you are mining? How long do you need with current setup and circumstances to get the ROI? Thank you in advance.

I debated between GPU and ASIC mining.  I decided to go with GPU mining because I wanted to mine VERT, ZCash, and #altcoins.  I think they're really cheap and undervalued.  When people get their fill of Bitcoins they'll come into the altcoin world.  Let me know how your ASIC mining goes.  If it goes well I'll take on ASIC mining as well!
