This is funny - I think you need to get out a little more.  Not to throw stones, myself spending endless hours infront of a screen in a dark room. BUT seriously I still have yet to meet a single real world adult who has even heard of bitcoin (including engineers, scientists & finance people).  I have been dabbling in btc since early 2011 and have seen the bitcoin community and frequency of reporting increase immensely - but this is all still very very new, uncharted territory, my friend.

I view bitcoin's current timeState to early govt and corporate intranets prior to a decade of dial up internet maturing before it started to become mainstream/old news.

well said. +1

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

Still so many people who do not know about or understand Bitcoins. On the other hand there are millions of dollars being invested in Bitcoin and business after business starting to accept it as a payment method. I'm sure there's going to be plenty of interesting developments as time moves forward to keep you entertained.

People lack patience, most users see this as a get rich scheme rather than a potential currency. If there's one threat to Bitcoin this would it. People buying in just to cash out.

It seems bitcoin is getting popular every day, why is the difficulty rate increasing? because there is more users joining the bitcoin network.

Loosing value? BTC's used to be 15NZD now they are 100-180NZD a bitcoin.. High value now?

In other words, you failed to make money off of bitcoin and therefore it's not "interesting"?  Roll Eyes

No, it is just that nothing seems to be really going on with it.
Of course, having it increase in value, albeit not exponentially but steadily, wouldn't hurt either.

No way! These are exciting times for Bitcoin! This is the year that Bitcoin will come under real close government scrutiny and the attack is just beginning. Pull up a chair and grab some popcorn. This is going to be a wild ride and shake out a lot of major players.

It is never boring. Just look at our forum directive. News: Bitcoin-Qt 0.8.2 has been released. Download. Whenever I see this I let the Trojan in my system do it. Download.
