Like what platforms? You mean pure ether based gambling platforms? The only one I known is Vdice and yes they are popular.

There are other gambling platforms too that able you to used Ether aside from other supported currencies. Functional? Popular? Yes they are. Examples are; Crypto-Games, Fortunejack eth. Just make your own research about it.

I don't know any ether based gambling platform because most of the gambling sites here in the cryptocurrency world is bitcoin based, but you could switch it to other currency for example is litecoin, dogecoin, ethereum and so on. Bitcoin based gambling sites are the most popular since most of the people prefer to use bitcoin in gambling, either way, gambling is still a game which is so freakin' risky so better stay out of it.

I used to have a crypto gambling site, but I did not benefit from this gambling, maybe because I do not understand so much about gambling, I think it's better to trade than gambling, gambling depends on luck, if trading can give more profit than gambling, gambling as well as trading we must be prepared with risk

Gambling with ethereum tokens is good but i have not earned so much of a profit. Rather i lost a good amount of money. I should say it really needs luck or maybe its just not my cup of tea. Haha. You can still try some but i think trading is way better and profitable.
