Paid bitcoin invoice, transaction stuck, invoice address now expired. HELP!!

Hello, I'm not experienced with bitcoins so please help.

I have paid for something using bitcoin invoice, which gave me an hour period to pay so. I paid within this hour but didn't have enough, so I had to reduce the fee to half the price so that I had enough to pay. However, now the time period is up and my transaction is stuck. I was simply helping a friend pay for something using bitcoin, and he didn't know how to so he gave me the cash and I put it into the bitcoin machine and paid. However, now the transaction is stuck and I do not have the financial means to him. Please help.

The transactions only for 53 dollars, but I do not have 53 dollars to pay my friend back. However I do have 5 dollars I can paypal to whoever can help me.

Is there anyway I can pay a miner directly.

Your transaction is already broadcasted in the network. All you and your friend need to do now is to wait for a confirmation on the blockchain before the merchant is going to process your transaction.

There is no need to worry, I am sure the merchant is aware that the mempool is flooded again. This has been happenning for over one year now.
