i'm new at altcoins business, and i hope to learn some basic notions and strategies,
one of the stuff i want to get help for, is what's the best strategy to follow after getting airdrops coins in my wallet.
is it to keep it for a while on it or just transfert the amount to an exchange plateform and sell it.

It's a very tricky question. Usually, I will first "evaluate" the potential of the coins/tokens first, determine whether it's good to keep the coins/tokens for a long term.

If not, then I will transfer the coins/tokens to ED and sell it when the price is right for me

You can do one, the other, or both.

One thing I recommend is that you have a separate email/telegram/twitter account for airdrops. Oftentimes airdrop will publish a spreadsheet with the info, so only share the accounts/emails you are willing to have spammed. Stay safe, friend.

This is pure gamble, u can gamble ur money if you want, but keep in mind, that by just HOLDING ur bitcoins you will earn couple hundred more likely than buying/selling altcoins or even buying/selling bitcoin.

If you want to earn money, HODL, if you want have fun, keep what u doing exploring altcoins/trading etc.

Velkro is on the money with this one. In the case of airdrops, there is literally nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Think of it as a future fund for your child's education, and if you do not have a child, a fund for the future lambo you want to buy.

betting on BTC is more likely hard for beginners since it needs big investment to get,
thats why i personnaly prefer doge, ETH, iota .. and new coming altcoins

Depends on the coin and how strong they have a community as well as development. If none of that is present I may sell 100% but if it is good then maybe I sell 10% or something. Other than that you can have a pre-set

strategy (I think this is worse fwiw) but it will decrease your variance on trying to pick winners and losers.

selling 100% if it doesnt worth to hodl and invest in bigger project

If you want to do analysis then it will take time to build experience especially with the airdrop coins. Airdrop coins are come and go so you can't expect much to them that will stay forever to a good price. While researching the fundamentals of project, you might missed the hype and eventually the development will be stopped as soon as the price touches it lowest dipping point.

If you need money, dump it the moment it get hyped. You received it for free in the first place.

What I usually do is sell about half of the airdrop right away and keep the rest. I may sell 10 or 20 percent more if the price goes up but definitely keep a few of every coin just so if even one goes straight to moon, I can buy my lambo :p
Airdrops are free anyway so there's absolutely nothing to lose. My advise is always hodl some!

I'm also a novice like you, I try to leave coins, because at the beginning of the path, still large sums should not wait, so as not to upset yourself very much ... let them lie ... when bitcoin cost not 5 thousand dollars

My advice for you is that you should ask for their ED trading pair immediately after distribution if they have crested the trading pair. Because those developers mostly doesn't develop the coin. So to get something out of it sell immediately ur given on ED. Good luck.

This completely depends on whether you are in it for a quick freebie or if you believe in the project.

If you believe in the project, do not sell when it's dumping...that's bad trading at any point, and if you believe in it you should be holding.

If you prefer to be in BTC or to switch to another and make a quick profit without having to monitor the project, just sell it...it was free.

make sure to research if the project does have a future and if you decided to join hold the coins for a while and get it sold in the right time.

It depends on different things like if airdrop is still running and there is no exchange where it is listed than you have no other choice than holding those coin till it will be listed.

If airdrop has ended and it is listed in some exchange but people are just dumping hard than you should probably wait for some stability.

If you truely believe in the concept of that coin, than you can keep those airdropped coin till there will be actual hype/news/craze for the coin.


If those airdropped coin you are holding for few months is pumping hard than quickly sell before the hype over that coin will be over.

Dont trust airdrop tokens because most of the tokens have no scope. Try to sell them when their price is high. And invest them to buy good coins. But all the airdrops tokens are not bad . There are very good tokens also. You have to decide whether you go for a hold or sell.

then if the coin can be staked maybe you should stake them for free profit every day, but we don't know when the Coin price droped, if you already got profit maybe you no need to take this risk just sell all then find other coin airdrop.

I like that coin and I do think that it has what it needs to get a higher level in price. If they are trying to give coins away then it would be a waste for them to do that.
