Bitcoin Ticker extension for Google Chrome v2.1

Hello all,

I've spent some of my free time building this extension for Google Chrome, firstly it was for self-use but I decided to release it on Chrome Store.
It's a simple extension, it'll show the current Bitcoin price right in the extension's icon, it'll also change the color from red (decreasing price) to green (increasing price).
I'm supporting three exchanges the following exchanges and currencies:
- Bitfinex (temporarily removed)
- bitFlyer
- bithumb
- BitMEX
- Bitstamp
- CEX
- Coinbase (GDAX)
- Foxbit
- Gemini
- Korbit
- Kraken
- Mercado Bitcoin
- OKCoin

- BRL
- EUR
- JPY
- KRW
- USD

It's also possible to check fees and tx cost and the first six orders (asks/bids) are displayed in the UI!
When first enabling this extension and selecting your preferred exchange and currency, press F5 (refresh) on any tab.

Note: Due to character limit, prices are rounded to integer values. KRW values are divided by 1000 and JPY by 100.

Nice project out there, Is this for sale or have to spend something to get it?  To have such an application such as this will help investors monitoring the prices of bitcoins which is just another breakthrough in terms of development.

If it can be improved, the user can be a useful application. But a limited number of stock exchanges is not enough.

Really nice idea, you made me interested to add this. I guess I'll give this a try since I am using google chrome as my default browser. I With this, I will no longer need to search or check the bitcoin price in my wallet everytime as I am able to see it already even while browsing the internet. Good job!

I will try this and monitor the performance (Hardware and Network) for  a few days. I will send my feedback later.

Honestly, It's a hassle for me to google search or login to tradings while browsing. This will do the trick.

Maybe we could have a setting for 'refresh rate' where we set how often the price is updated.

Unfortunately it didn't work Which chrome version is required for this? I selected different exchanges but all of them never went beyond 'loading'. Is this some sort of a bug? I also have a suggestion for you, the page is too childish. Something better can be done. A simple, plain dark background along with some white text, it will make it look professional. Also try to add an 'Average' option like Preev.

The problem you said only occurred to me after the first time enabling the extension.
Now, it works normally after refresing a page although it got a limited options.
It must have:
Options on how often it will update the price.
Nicer Background and Logo or at least a User Customization setting.

That's controlled by the exchange's API and is also relative on how much the price is changing and orders are being placed. You'll probably note that when selecting some exchanges the price will keep refreshing in less than a second and others will take a bit longer.

This extension which is the bitcoin ticker displays the current btc price on the badge icon.It also displays the current Bitcoin price in your selected currency, pulled from your choice of a few exchanges. The price updates every 5 minutes. This is very useful for bitcoiners.

I'll quote it so everyone can see without opening a tab.
It's not loading, weird.

Seems sleeker than the previous boring orange theme.
But the "about" and "show some love" is still getting more emphasis than the main window.
And the Extension Icon above can make use of that theme rather than using Bitcoin's original orange icon.

The project is fantastically good.I guess it could also be improved by adding two extra crypto
currencies following bitcoin: Ethereum and Litecoin in the extensions as to have a comparative
information of the crypto market outlook at every instance.This is great innovation indeed.
