Alts are pumping now and I think buying it now may hard for you to earn profit but if your goal is really for long term them buy altcoin because it is still cheap and i know all the cryptocurrency will keep on the uptrend for sure in the future. But don't forget to analyze before buying altcoins.

It's actually not btc did get dumped but alts are getting pumped that means there is a chance this all is for a show itself and soon the price is going to fall. It's better to have a stop loss of 10-15% i already bought a few alts before so it's a clear profit for me but for you it might be entering a pump.

Yes we should buy exactly for long term mate, because price at a lower value seems to be profitable when it's going to pump and for me it's important to monitor the current progress all the time so that you won't miss that huger sell value. trust your instinct and always think positive in which coins you invested your money better buy a lots of good project and wait for that project to bounce up,

Considering that the fork has been cancelled, this might be one of the best times to buy into altcoins. Especially the top ten! People were expecting the fork to happen and BTC to appreciate, but that won't be the case anymore, all that money invested in BTC will have to move somewhere, and it will move into alts. ETH is already up more than 10% and other coins had gains of 30% within a couple of hours/days, the trend will probably continue. As much cool BTC is, it is still a very tedious coin and will have difficulties scaling properly, at some point there are going to be congestions on the network and money will keep driving towards altcoins. That doesn't mean that other altoins might not have the same issue, but they will definitely benefit as well in case something like that happens.
