Hi guys

Would like to hear how your wives handle your Bitcoin shananagans?

Do you have your own spot in the house where you can do your thing?

Living with a wife that dont understand this stuff or allowing you to do your thing can be hell!!

Have a great day!!
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I don't understand why so many people are married to women who don't care about what they're interested in. Is this typical behavior when finding a mate, to not care about what they're interested in nor look for someone with similar interests?

I wouldn't say typical behaviour, but it may be a conscious choice.
Having lived for 7 years with a girl who shared almost all of my interests and now living for almost 3 years with a girl which is very different from me I must say I prefer the current situation.

Now on topic: she handles it very well. She knows what a Bitcoin is and all that. She stays away from my own businesses and lets me do what I have to do.

Of course having someone who has different interests can be interesting, but I was more referring to someone who can understand and appreciate universal concepts such as freedom, choice, opportunity, etc. Bitcoin shouldn't be the root of decention between people and I don't understand why it is for so many.

My wife knew that I was into computers and stuff when we got married.
She probably though it would subside! Smiley

But she let me be..

Its just now and then that she gets upset, especially if it affects our finances!

I'm not married but I have a long time girlfriend and she's totally cool with my Bitcoin obsession. She doesn't totally understand it but is happy that I can cash some in when we need to pay a bill and she's even happier now that I have my ASIC's and she realizes the earning potential.

I completely agree. It seems more logical to me to search for someone that shares interests with you.

Usually my wife goes shopping while I go down to the basement to check on the miners with a six pack, a bottle of lotion and some porn.

Very badly, GF just thinks the government is going to come after us and put us in jail for providing ID to a banking institution.

If you think my efforts are worth something; I'll keep on keeping on.

I assume he is from the USA and she is thinking what will happen in about 5 years.

You think they will be put in jail for sending ID to MTGox? Really? Are they going to turn one of their states into a prison or something?

This type of ignorant cultism is embedded deep into the scam of bitcoin. What once was a tool for decentralizing payments, has now become the bait and switch product at MLM meetings full of blind and gullible libertarians. All their cultist leaders need to do is say that someone is after the group and they will instinctively pay to the nose to their leader in a false belief that it somehow helps their cause, instead of making a few people rich. The government is the last group of people bitcoiners need to worry about in 2013. The real danger is following the cultists who try to sell you on paying for their own products and services as "helping bitcoin succeed" and begging you to not let them fail, all while flashing around money and bragging about the success they've had (on the cult follower's dollar of course).

A message to bitcoiners: stop making leaders with your money. You don't need one. That was kind of the point.BTC
