if you are just moderately good at day-trading and using the oscillations in coins with high trading volumes, you can have 150$ after just 100 days. pick the right coin each day and learn how to interpret stochastics and RSI. discipline yourself to not over-doing and sticking to just a 5% daily increase.

It's really not easy to make money with such small amounts, because of fees.
Your only chance is probably on the altcoin market. But it's useless to buy such small amounts of altcoins and wait for increase. So first of all you need to increase your investment amount through day trading (traditional buy low, sell high).
If you you reach 10-15$ in total, you can start arbitrage trading, which means you buy low at a certain exchange (e.g. Poloniex) and sell higher at another exchange (e.g. Bittrex). Unfortunately you can't do this with small amounts, because of fees. And even with 10-15$ you should only use altcoins with very low transaction fees (e.g. Verge).
If you reach 100$ you can start investing in promising new altcoins and maybe ICOs.
But to multiply your money by ten only through day trading on a single exchange, is really hard.
I recommend you to start with 10$, otherwise your experiment may be over soon.

You sure of what you are asking? You've got $1.5 and asking for $150 in profit? There's no shortcut in success and even in crypto's, you have to increase some more of your investment. You know that $1.5 is just a peanut and it's impossible that this is what you've got in your life. You can buy those coins that are lower than $1 itself. Go at coinmarketcap.com and there's a lot of choice for you, personally DGB is good for me.

Even I was considering starting with something like 30-50$ or so and trade very cheap crypto almost like penny stocks, but, maybe polo isn't the place for that.

Its a useless experiment... 1$ is really "garbage".... even 10$ is bad, but going with 100$ with some luck you can really make 1.000$ in 1 year investing moderate time.

I think the main difficulty you will face is that your amount is too little. I would say to begin with you can probably profit by flipping high volatility coins, your amount will be so small that it will just get swallowed up, try to make a few % each time and then you can maybe start to do more once you've grown it to $10 or so.

Honestly $1 is very small amount to invest in crypto buying an altcoin and selling when you feel good, much better if you join some bunch of shit airdrops out there then sell it on pump, much profitable than to invest that amount.

If you have 1.5$ in polo, you have to pay 0.7$ around in bitcoin fees to get that bitcoin out and many more when you will transfer those bitcoin to invest in something. All your 1.5$ will be only enough to pays, try to get more so that you can invest in crypto.
