My friend said he never hold bitcoin too long, because he is worried if Satoshi nakamoto turn off bitcoin server.
What do you think about it?
Why believed this kind of information with out any proof or references where did he get this kind of information. If this possible why some one who created this kind of program will apparently delete or turn off this thing. |

I think your friend does not know something about bitcoin. That's why bitcoin is decentralized no one holds bitcoin (server) the miners are the server it self no need to worry about it once no miners can mine on the blockchain you need to mine to confirm your transaction for that. As long as we have internet we can still use bitcoin. |

That`s impossible because there is big blockchain for bitcoin. There are a lot miners who support it. You should find thousands of miners and turn off their electricity.

It is not possible to turn Bitcoin. It's similar to the Internet. There are many independent servers which are all over the world so even if single country decided to cut off Bitcoin traffic, which is not possible, it wouldn't stop Bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralised and that's the biggest advantage of it. Nobody can stop Bitcoin from growing. Try to read more about it.

That is true, many of the new guys on this forum are all after signature campaign bounties and so they make stupid posts to boost their count in order to rank up when the time is right and so even though certain questions are answered over and over they start new threads and spamming their funny English around. I don't think that you should worry too much about turning off of bitcoin server. It is not possible for it to be turnerd off all of a sudden. We all know that bitcoin is for investments activity and it losses its value in you when you have such kind of thinking.

I think your friend don't know anything about bitcoin, Bitcoin don't have any server, all the data about bitcoin is being shared in the blockchain and is being updated on every transaction. That is why it is called as decentralized currency. |

It seems that you and your friend doesn't know how bitcoin technology works?. First and foremost satoshi is only the creator of bitcoin not the servers .he/she doesn't have control with all servers because there are too many miners around the globe who keeps the bitcoin network continuously working. Maybe the only way to shutdown all bitcoin network servers or halt the bitcoin network process, if the internet was shutdown and I think this thing is impossible to happen. The biggest fault in our people is that they do not try to get the proper knowledge and spread rumors in order to grab attention of people, do not believe them they are just attention seekers, bitcoin cannot be stopped it is getting popular with time and people are favoring it, the demand is increasing so as well is its worth. So be free and be happy about your bitcoin, they will make you rich in no time |

Wow, your friend is very informative and smart. I mean we have never thought of that? How old is he?8?  Satoshi Nakamoto left Bitcoin years ago and he don't have any involvement about bitcoin ever since that day. The block chain cannot be turned off because it is just a chain of transaction made. It is open to everyone for years and never been shut down since 2009. Come on man, you can read a lot of information about bitcoin and block chain in the internet. |

No way bitcoin is turned off because bitcoin is using blockchain system, that mean it uses blocks of data to store everything, there are many blocks of bitcoin on internet, if one block is turned off, the others will be just fine, unless you crash the entire internet then bitcoin will die.

If the inventor of the World Wide Web Tim Berners-Lee decides to pull the plug should you stop investing in Amazon or Uber or every online companies that are listed in the Stock market just because Tim is having some mood swings. |

Firstly there are many stories about Satoshi Nakamoto, no one knows is if he a person or a group of people.
Bitcoin operates on a decentralised, peer to peer system controlled/run by its miners who are spread all over the world.
So there is no one server. transaction of bitcoins get stopped only when all the miners shuts down their machines at once.
This will never happen because they have no personal communication with each other, bitcoin the only link connecting them all together.
Stopping ob bitcoin is not possible, only governments or monetary systems can regulate its transactions.

i think it wont , because bitcoin server wont turned off, bitcoin has its own standard , bitcoin is strong , maybe bitcoin server turned off because of some maintenance in their sever , but not mean that bitcoin is turned because bitcoin is going down, maybe there is some technical problems at that time.

This is impossible to happen because bitcoin has been spread world wide and no one has the control over it the only way that bitcoin can be gone into the market is when majority of the holders will stop making transactions and that most of the bitcoin will be idle for a long time which is very impossible to happen. Bitcoin will remain in the circulation and it will surely for long long time.
