What problems do you think can and can't be solved with a distributed framework like bitcoin, and why?

The problem of ownership (e.g., bitcoin) is fundamentally sequential (rather than parallel) but a distributed framework works because the 10 minute block time is fast enough for the real world.

Does the future hold a distributed system for stocks, emails, restaurant reviews, corporate management, social networking, voting, scheduling, etc.?!
