Hello everyone,
I am working on an interesting project and would like to figure something out, but I lack the technical experience in the blockhain area. I generaly understand it and I know that my idea can be implemented in blockhain but when it comes to details, I get confused. For the past week I tried to read as much as I could about storing data on blockhain, IPFS and Tahoe-LAFS systems. I can find everything about IPFS and Tahoe-LAFS, but there is hardly any information on blockhain and how data is stored on it. If anyone with
in-depth knowledge can comment below and I will PM them.
If anyone is actualy really skillful in this area, I am willing to hire him to work with me for my company. I have great ideas but I need developers to make them a reality. I think this place has a lot of people that fall in this category. If not, I just want to ask some questions.
Thank you
Here's the developers' mailing list:
https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/bitcoin-devNote that the blockchain is not really a file system. It is literally just a chain of blocks. Each block is a raw data "blob" (see
here for details). What makes it a chain is that each block has a hash-based relationship with the previous block and all the blocks satisfy a certain adjustable "mining difficulty". As a data storage/retrieval mechanism, the blockchain itself is horribly inefficient, at least as bad as
tape storage.
Hope that helps you in your endeavors...
