Looking for a preconfigured / precompiled Live Linux. I know its not terribly hard to do, but i'm really busy with work. 1 BTC is just a starting point, if you think its worth more thats fine just let me know. I'm looking to purchase a finished product, I don't really have time to delve into this and help.

Looking For
  • Preconfigured Live Linux/RPI/Router Firmware as an .img file which I can burn to a flash drive/SDCard/Router
  • Mining with Ztex Boards, ModMinerQuads, USB Block Eruptors, x6500s, BFL, Icarus, Load Firmware on boot as needed
  • Neat organized instructions for a user of modest Technical Background (not me) to configure the miner, probably sections for each miner, Start to Finish
  • No Non Opensource Software
  • Retard Proof and Stable
  • Work done for me to not be publically distributed.
  • Please be professional

Deliverables
  • 1.) RPI Image
  • 2.) RPI instructions
  • 3.) Bootable Live Linux image
  • 4.) Live Linux instructions
  • 5.) Router (TPlink, ect open to suggestions) Image ect
  • 6.) Router Instructions

Post
  • Price
  • Qualifications
  • Timeframe
  • Why your solution is superior

Let me know what questions you have. I want to be on the same page before commiting that way neither of us is misled.

Check out MinePeon. It's an image that you flash to an SD card, boot a rPi from it, and it's purpose-built from the ground up to be for mining, and only mining. A lot of people use it, and seems to work quite nicely.

rPi: MinePeon
Live Linux: BAMT
Router: DD-WRT / OpenWRT

You can take your pick, tho I wouldn't recommend BAMT. The other two are very popular, and work quite well. I'm not going to just write up a hand-holding guide, but if you take 5 minute and look at each one, you can see they're both pretty simple to use. They both use CGMiner, and you just edit your config file, and start mining.

Yeah, I would say your optimal solution here would be an RPi with Minepeon installed, and a  powered USB hub.  Updated versions of CGminer and BFGMiner, and instructions on how to update programs if need be.

If you supply the parts or cash for the parts, finding someone to do this wouldnt be hard to do as its not something that should take anywhere near a lot of time to do.

Squiggly letters, written really fast, with a couple of dots for good measure.

You arent, but you are asking for someone to provide this full solution for something that realistically, shouldnt take more than a half hour to do.  Getting a RPi, writing the image (which already comes with updated versions of BFG and CG that have support for BFL, Icarus, etc), booting and configuring and getting up and running isnt time tedious.  So for most people they are looking at it confused as to why you you just dont do it yourself.  And asking for graphical solutions and things just isnt going to happen for something that you want that is going to be basically headless and just run and do its thing. You can get a listing of simple command line instructions do do what you want, but there will have to be a little know how and learning on your end, but once up and running then it should be something you set and just go.  Check back daily to make sure its running, and reboot if need be, but other than that just let it go.

I have my RPi running my BFL Jalapeno.  It just sits in the corner mining and other than checking on it a couple of times a day at the pool that I am currently mining with to make sure its still online, I dont have to touch it. No need to update my BFGminer as doing so isnt going to get me any performance boost.  And Minepeon that I use on my RPi has a web interface that I can use to change pools anytime I want.

So yeah, I could set you up with something, and even give you instructions step by step on what to do once you receive the items and get them setup, but it would take me more time to do that, than its going to take you to do.  Is that what you want to spend your 1+ coins on?

and yet, you still have not read the OP, and have no idea what I am requesting. Not once do I mention graphical solutions. I need three packages completed with instructions. I'm not asking you to reinvent the wheel. I just need these packaged together and instructions written.

Requesting something be "retard" proof is just code word for graphical to me, as most "retards" prefer the pretty colors and buttons that come with it, not monochrome command lines.

Let me break it down to you like this, again, what you asking for while simple in concept, isnt simple in execution for a third party, and is actually easier for you to do on your own. You can sit here and keep bashing everyone because no one is chomping at the bit to provide you with this service, but really no one wants to put the effort forward for something that appears to be so simple that someone can take a little time out of their lives (certainly the time you have been using to post multiple threads on this same subject, and reply to people ridiculing them for not answering you or providing you a solution) to figure out how to do it with online instructions and YouTube videos, rather than be condescending to anyone willing to chime in with their opinion.

But that right there is probably why you do not have any replies saying they have a solution, because the miners you are requesting, are either not readily available, or are at fairly expensive prices.

You either have to pre-order something like a Jalapeno through BFL and wait until your order is filled, or pay $300+ for FPGA USB Erupters or Icarus boards to only get a few hundred megahashes.  Again, you want to spend that much money?  Yeah, the low wattage is great, but compared to where the difficulty is going, this is not even a dent in making your any coins.  So that means getting them in mass in order to get it to a place where it becomes at least viable (by my estimates at least enough to get you 1GH/s of power to maybe generate 1 coin a month, that means over $1200 for FPGA solutions).  That also means that, at current prices, would be over a year before you even recouped your initial investment, let alone began making profit. Again, is this how you want to spend your money?

Now you can get an ASIC miner that ships immediately, but that costs BTC50, or at current prices $5000, that will put out 10GH/s.  If you have $5000 to spend on one, then okay, lets talk.  If not, then maybe sticking to a traditional GPU setup is the way to go.

All of this has nothing to do with my OP

I'll point out the misunderstandings above in red/blue. And to be honest I haven't ridiculed anyone besides yourself. Just because I can clean my house doesn't mean that I should. I'll let other people who are better than me at that do it. I can spend my time elsewhere better IE my full time job.

I am not asking for any miners. I am not setting this up for myself. I am just looking for three different options for hosting miners RPI/Live Linux/Router, which I can sell / prepackage with mining hardware. This is not rocket science, its extremely easy. I am paying good money, I am really surprised no one wants to do this.

This has become too funny.  Here, a solution.

RPi running latest version of BFGMiner (at time of installation), full instructions on setup and running the unit (including color screen shots and a glossary of instructions to change, view, etc options if needed), BFL Jalapeno, ~$300 for equipment.  Cost for labor ~$150. Time frame, 4-6 months depending on availability of Jalapeno unit.

You are right, Im sorry, I was delivering a FULL solution to you, you only want half (maybe I believe in doing work myself and able to trouble shoot all problems and getting it working and making sure my customer is happy, but hey, maybe I am just a stupid little troll like that for caring....)

Solution #2
RPi image that can be burned to a SD card with updated version of BFGminer, instructions for finding your IP address for the unit, configuring Minepeon, and getting up and running, BTC0.5.

Listen, the software you're looking for is readily available. MinePeon is wonderful for a rPi. And as for pre-configuring it, you can't! Each user needs to go into it and change their own config file for their own individual pool/workers. That's all there is to it. And this is something that each individual person needs to do; it's not something we can do for you.

Listen, the software you're looking for is readily available. MinePeon is wonderful for a rPi. And as for pre-configuring it, you can't! Each user needs to go into it and change their own config file for their own individual pool/workers. That's all there is to it. And this is something that each individual person needs to do; it's not something we can do for you.

ok still need someone to put this all together

Deliverables
1.) RPI Image freebie minepeon ect
2.) RPI instructions
3.) Bootable Live Linux image
4.) Live Linux instructions
5.) Router (TPlink, ect open to suggestions) Image ect
6.) Router Instructions

If you are going with Minepeon, you dont need the rest of it.  You really dont even need number 2 as the Minepeoon wiki already exists that gives you step by step instructions on how to download, write to an SD, configure and run on an RPi.

So just like crazyates said, its already readily available and actually easier for you to do yourself than trying to get someone else to do for you. If you are looking for help, or someone to sit on IM and talk you through it, thats different than asking for someone to give you some solution.  Or maybe thats the solution, getting someone to agree to sit on IM and talk you through it, or Teamviewer into your system and do it for you.

Squiggly letters, written really fast, with a couple of dots for good measure.
