So, is it at all common for people to just hire someone to mine bitcoins for him?

https://www.upwork.com/

I'm thinking about going there ^ and hiring somebody from like India, to mine bitcoin for me.

I wouldn't get 100% of the profits of course, but money is money, plus I get to retain my own life while getting that extra money.

I should mention that I know NOTHING about bitcoin, or mining, or anything like that....I don't have the time to get involved with it at the moment..But could I pay someone to do it for me?

Kind of like how we pay people to handle our stocks etc for us

Hiring anyone else to mine for you is the same as cloud mining or renting hash power. Cloud Mining is a bit profitable or almost nothing worth, you pay for a hash power which is limited for a duration and you will receive daily payouts in BTC. The other thing as cloud mining is renting hash power from sellers like on NiceHash or Miningrigrentals. Unlike Cloud Mining, renting hash power may be unprofitable but also gives you more freedom which cryptocurrency you would like to mine. If you know the profitability of a cryptocurrency, you surely get profits but not for a short time.

You can certainly buy hashpower or mining power from some cloud mining providers but if you looking for someone who will run the mining hardwares for you, then upwork is not the right place. And if anyone is already mining bitcoin, why he would work for you? Are you going to invest money to buy expensive mining hardware and payout the electricity bill for him?

Bitcoin mining is not a rocket science. A lot of write ups are available in internet for you to learn mining from scratch. If you are willing to invest money, then buy some mining rigs and start mining. Why would you need someone to mine bitcoins for you?

Exatly!
If you want ready decision - use cloud mining.

But, if you are ready to buy an equipment, send it somewhere where electricity and stable internet cheaper than yours - than you can find someone on freelance market and send equipment to him

Since you've admitted that you know nothing about bitcoin, I think you should stay away from mining and do some research first. If you just want some bitcoin then buy some.

That is the worst thing that you can do, why dont you invest "that" money into your own mining rig? try to learn a little bit more before investing your money on cryptocurrencies, it doesnt matter if you are going to use it to mine, or just to trade altcoins, you should learn a lot, because it is risky.
And give your money to an stranger to mine for you? obviously that it is a scam, and those cloudmining are the same, you are going to be scammed by both ways. Be careful.

Mining is a wonderful past time. and right now you are better off mining other altcoins like XMR and whatever else is a easy coin to mine and swapping it into bitcoin every now and then. you can mine a lot of altcoin on CPU and GPU therefore use your existing computing power. check out the mining profitability calculators and get mining yourself.

Why not buy a stake in a long running proven organization with no costs that mines Bitcoin along with generating other sources of revenue?  Take a look at NastyFans.

Yeah, except cloud mining operations are invariable scams.  Sure, you could probably hire someone in
India to do some mining, but you'd have to have an iron clad agreement with them, and there would probably
have to be some collateral involved to prevent being scammed.  I've never mined, but I'm aware that the
initial outlay is costly.  You might be better off just buying some hardware and trying a little on your own.
At least that way you're not dependent on a 3rd party who might scam you.  You know how many scammers
operate that way.  A LOT.

You can buy cloud mining services online.
There are quite a few websites out there but the most reliable are:
https://www.genesis-mining.com and http://hashflare.io.
Make sure to do your research first but those sites are the way to go if you’re interested in cloud mining.

So we offer a service that may fit exactly what you are looking for.  At mining colocation you purchase as many asic miners as you want from us (we have no max cap unlike the competition), have them shipped to our data center and we set it up and run it for you.  You get to keep all of the crypto mined, however in exchange we charge you at a fixed electricity rate (which often at times is still cheaper than if you were to run it from your home).  If you're interested in this or just want to know more, feel free to send me a message or contact us at sales@miningcolocation.com
