You have a good choice, these alt coins you have chosen to invest are good for holding 3-5 years.

All of them got good support from it's developers and as well as to most of the traders. I like your style that you invested more with Bitcoin.

Some altcoins that have been mentioned have been on my watchlist as well like STRAT, OMG, WAVES...

I'm sure XMR and ZEC are also nice to invest, but I don't wanna change some parts of my 80% BTC/ETH/LTC portfolio to them.
Smaller cap coin portfolio should stay around 20%, I think I'll mix it up like this :

50 % BTC
15 % ETH
15 % LTC

5 % IOTA
4 % NEO
4 % STRAT
3 % WAVES
2 % OMG
2 % QTUM

I took out XRP and XVG, I'm anyway not really sure about the future of these coins.
I still believe IOTA with their blockchain-free tangle technology will be successful.

Good choices, was thinking of 50% to the big 3 (BTC, ETH and LTC (as hedge)).
50% to altcoins - I'm a risk taker

10% WAVES
10% OMG
10% ARDOR
10% some other coin (still thinking on which small cap coin)

You should keep half of the money in bitcoin and you buy 1/4 of the remaining eth. I think you should trade coin to increase the amount of capital that you have this pretty easy but you have to spend some time to see the price. and watch the coin analysis

The suggestions sounds good, however I would be careful in choosing these rather small projects and especially ICOs for the long term portfolio, as there is no guarantee that they will survive these 5 years. It also depends on what you are going to do. I mean, if you are going to keep an eye on it, or you are looking for something to buy, leave and check in few years to see millions. I would also suggest you checking out Lisk maybe. It is great for sure for the short term, as the profits are very probable, however they may keep on raising in the future as well.

Try to add deep union on your portofolio. Buy some deep onion then register for airdrop. You could get more coin from airdrop if you hold deep union. Vertcoin also looked good at the moment and probably for next 2-3 years. Vertcoin is pioneer for lyra2 and it is asic proove

IN the next 5 years, people will find that bitcoin can not provide what they want and what they need and they will betray bitcoin. 21 million coins are not enough for 7 billion people around the world. Buy ethereum. The technology inside it will make the world a better place. Smart contract will help us to avoid many scammers

Split the investment between BTC and ETH (should be a safe bet) one the one site and some more speculative altcoins for a higher profit.Some good ones are:
- FLIK (the next Netflix?)
- Verge (price is already increasing, could be as successful as Monero one day)
- Electroneum (this is gambling but at least they have a real British company behind the scenes)

It's a useful chart for a long-term holding as you mentioned for 3-5 years. If I would have to invest 20000 USD, then I would add Cardano and Stellar Lumens in my portfolio including Tronix.

I think your portfolio looks good for a fairly steady growth, nothing majorly risky (Bar Verge) but that's just because I can't see why its worth what it is now, I bought mass for like 0.002 7 months ago and now its 100x that because of Mcaffee.

Sold out at 8-15c in batches and don't regret it at all, BUT it could still rise if people adopt it and they actually do their Wraith protocol.

I would also include dash and monero in my portfolio. But my main asset wil be ethereum in this case. The predictions and projections are showing that it will hit $3,750 within a year. This would rock the market.

I would also add such promising coins as NEO and Bitcoin Cache Point. At least these two coins for me today make good money and I'm happy with it.
