This is very true. Even outside of the Crypto space companies tend to promise a lot more than they can deliver by bragging up the potential while downplaying the risks. You need to do a lot of research before investing in anything, Crypto related or not.

You are joining bounties for ICO but you don't really understand what it is. ICO is predicting their market price at the same time it is their target market value.

They advertise to any sort of method to increase their popularity and raise more than they wanted to. This is why sometimes the predicted value can be less than or more than it is. Also when the tokens are dispersed to the market its value will start to decrease. Therefore the more time you hold the tokens the values may vary depends on the market.
