Freedom of will means to do whatever we want to do in our life. It means the overall freedom of our life even if it is good or bad. But are we really free to do everything in our society ? Or we are bound to follow the rules and regulations ?Are we really getting the freedom we need ?
You can have freedom but with limitation. For me you can't have Absolute freedom even if we go back to the manual of life the Bible.ever since Genesis the beggining instruction to adam he can eat all things exept tree of good and evil. Though he has all the authority over it all god still commanded a minimal forbiddens. Like in life maximize life but not unto the point of hurting other people.
Perhaps you misunderstand. God's command about eating the fruit of that tree, was followed by, "The day that you eat of it, you shall surely die." Notice what God
didn't say, "The day you eat of it I will surely kill you." So, what's the difference?
Let me use this example. You go to the car dealer and buy a brand new V8 car. Then you ask the mechanic at the dealer if you can switch two of the spark plug wires on the engine. He says, "No. You will destroy your engine if you do that." But it is your car. So, you have the freedom to do it. So you pull the plug wire off the plugs on cylinders 3 and 5, and you simply cross them over to the other plugs. And, you blow the engine.
The mechanic thinks to himself, "What an idiot," but the dealer is lenient, and replaces the whole car for you for free.
You were free to eat the fruit. You were free to do other wrong things. But it totally messed up the mechanics of the universe and your life regarding love and obedience. Then God came along and gave you the free gift of Jesus salvation. But if you trash Jesus salvation in your life, the dealer isn't going to give you a third new car. This is the last chance a person has.
