Etherdelta is a decentralise exchange so it is general safe. You can consider getting metamask chrome extension where it can work well with etherdelta and mew. All your trade is through smart contract so no one can take away your alt coins.

This depends on your coin of choice. It's unlikely for most altcoins that you can exchange them to regular currency directly or buy anything.

The most general way is if coin is listed at exchange - you can exchange it there to BTC/ETH and buy something with those or exchange them to USD, your options for exchange to USD depend on your country of residence.

Some coins have in-built ability to be of use in the developers' system or already have shops where you can buy with them directly and/or exchange to USD.

After that you must wait until they got into exchanger so from MEW wallet for example , you can send into exchanger that enlist the token.

If it is not a popular coin/token you can sell it at etherdelta. If it is a big fish you can go to an accorging trading platfrom such as Bittrex, Poloniex etc.

You can sell your ICO token in Exchanges . You need to send token to Exchange . You have to follow below step. find a exchange supporting your token get the contract address . Send it to that contract address and sell the token in exchange.

Yo can find the exchange in coinmarketcap for your holding token . Then register in exchange search the token in exchange get contract address and send token to that address and sell it for ether or bitcoin which ever you wish.

Correct and just import your address and private key then your coins automatically appear in etherdelta, then deposit your coins to etherdelta to start trading. All ERC20 token are in there so just choose what token will you trade. And to make transaction faster you can increase the GWEI or the gas to higher amount, well this will depend on you.

Which token are you looking for to sell? If ERC-20 based tokens, you may use Etherdelta. It's not exactly user-friendly but it a very good and reliable decentralized exchange which list every kind of ETH-based token.
For Waves-based tokens, you need to wait they are listed on other exchanges.

Click on the token you wanna sell and then on "markets". You will find a list of all exchanges which list such tokens...

just go to exchanger site to sell your token.. what token do you have? if that is erc20 token just go to hitbtc thats the easy way to sell your token if what is that you hold..

Before you engage on selling your tokens you need to equip your self first .. so that you have the Idea on where to sell or to buy token . First commit on their social media group ,website, telegram and communicating to the developer is the most posible way .. you need to monitor every updates of your hold tokens in which exchanges they are planning enter their token ,this is very important so that you can avoid phishing site .. always take time to read every details and news of your token. I haven't yet sell my tokens because I want them to hold as much as I can. And the problem is that currently I can't do an exchange because I have no Ethereum balance for gas fee.
The only solution is you're going to need to buy a little Ethereum to make the process otherwise you can only hold your tokens.

That's what my friend told me to do with it through EtherDelta but before that you need to have an Ethereum balance because it is not possible to convert your tokens without gas fee
