We want to reward positive work. We gave to the last dev fund and it was umm... lost.
We can give to who ever we want it is our money. Aspect caused the drama. He could have politly declined.
I will tell you again, aspect freaked out, I think it was an overreaction but he has totally the right to do so , the way you stated things was really wrong, now every one is watching, if you have good attention of all this especially now , you just donate the 2K to the Address in the original fund raising thread and let Dev's decide between each-other. you just can add a note that you wish this LTC goes to X and Y, and let X and Y decide whether take it or leave it for the development . I honestly thought be knew. I understand he did not and his reaction is reasonable. Sadly our org took almost a week to agree to give the ltc the way it wanted to. Also it did so cuz the last lead dev stole the ltc. We want to pay for work done. I wouldn't worry about someone stealing the donation really, let them discuss this between each-other, your 2K could bring the Dev team to reach the goal to claim the 5K LTC reward, and let the Devs decide who deserve what and how much any one deserves, because they only know what every one is doing and how much is every one contributing, it is just not right to decide for whom the donation should go.

I think people should do whatever they want to do. I dont see any problems at all. I was around during the ltc dark times and understand that people thinl twice. I dont see a problem with 2k being sent to devs that people trust. If dev then sends ltc to donation pool or if it is accounted for even though its on another address who cares? If the 5k pledger cares that would however be interesting to know about, but he/she/it is anonymous so I guess well.. Anyway people are free to do whatever they want to do with their ltc. Would be awesome if 5k could be triggered.

We took the word of warren who we trust and he spoke well of aspect.
So we wanted to send ltc to aspect cuz he did the work but we really wanted to support the new warren who lacks stake.

that would be a pity, would be sad to see Warren leave. Clear communication is key which and he has done tremendously good. I was glad to finaly see a coherent dev team. keep up the good work dev team ^^

Who would have thought giving away ltc would cause so much drama. Myself remembering the "darker days" of LTC and at one being being thoroughly convinced the gig was up, I think its perfectly reasonable that you guys started this foundation back then and perhaps haven't thought much more about it since then. If it makes you feel any better you can donate 2000LTC to me and I promise not to touch it for 2 years. :-) Oh and I'll talk all sorts of lovely sweet things about LTC left and right. :-)

My thoughts exactly. Note my pointless comments just to keep the thread alive for bumping the drama (which I unfortunately can not contribute to). So much popcorn time, it's crazy!

I did not freak out. I think my response was balanced while questioning the validity of the message and validity of the organization. I stated that donation fundraising is for the development team and that the development team is not susceptible to dictation of what should be done with the funds. Any dictation of what and how should be done by the development team will be instantly refused. If anyone gives donations saying "if you do so and so", can take their funds back. If someone wants to donate to individuals, they are welcome to do that in private. I then proceeded to question the validity of someone with 0 posts calling themselves 'Litecoin Foundation'. Especially since we have had ongoing discussions about this internally. I also stated that: Until there is further real-life information from your direction in regards to your organization, I am unable to establish your level of credibility. Thus I will ignore any interaction with you until that is addressed. I then also added a personal note that criticized your approach of stating that 'XYZ donates to warren and aspect'. The whole post looked designed to me like an entrapment that validates your so called foundation the second we accept the funds from you. My post was almost instantly deleted by whoever started the thread - the 'foundation'. You should not have done this. People who have good intent don't delete other people's messages from threads, instead they engage in discussion. My original post was not hostile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=236506.msg2499524#msg2499524. Your deletion of my response was. Hence the alternate threads. aspect

You folks want me to respond to this mess, or to push some code that fixes bugs in the new 0.6.x release where we are very close? I think I'll push some code first...
