We are looking into creating our own wallet system, so users don't have to use other (insecure?) systems for managing their money.

Yes, you can mine with just one worker.
It would be better to use 4 separate miners, but either way is fine.

[PS]: I am not responsible for any loss of shares you may encounter due to using one worker.

Dear fellow miners,

Don’t miss out on the great opportunity to participate in our Flash Mob Mining Event and make a little bit of mining history.

The event will take place on Sunday August 21st at 9 PM (GMT).

We know we are a small pool, and we know we have been mining for an uneasy long period of time to find that block, so we understand most of you guys are mining somewhere else.

At the same time we are just like you, passionate mining enthusiasts who believe in the future of bitcoins and mining pools. So it breaks our heart to see our cool little non-profit pool lose its battle against the difficulty.

You, as a member of our group of close to 3000 miners, are able to make the difference. Doing a little bit of math, we figured if we stand together as a group and Flash Mob this block it will drop in no time.

How to participate?

The Flash Mob Mining Event will take place on Sunday August 21st at 9 PM (GMT).

Join us on our irc channel #tripleming on Freenode.

Configure your mining client to eu.triplemining.com on port 8344.

Watch us break all mining records when you and all our other group members Flash Mob that block!

What’s in it for you?

Apart from helping your favorite mining pool crack a hell of a block we will give away a Radion HD 6990 Graphics Card for each 10 blocks found until Midnight (GMT) on Sunday August 21st.

Progress can be followed through Twitter as we tweet each time a block is found. Join us on Twitter @triplemining.

Time zones:

UTC
Sunday, 21 August 2011, 21:00:00

Brussels (Belgium)
Sunday, 21 August 2011, 23:00:00        CEST    UTC+2 hours

New York (U.S.A. - New York)
Sunday, 21 August 2011, 17:00:00        EDT     UTC-4 hours

Dallas (U.S.A. - Texas)
Sunday, 21 August 2011, 16:00:00        CDT     UTC-5 hours

Phoenix (U.S.A. - Arizona)
Sunday, 21 August 2011, 14:00:00        MST     UTC-7 hours

San Francisco (U.S.A. - California)
Sunday, 21 August 2011, 14:00:00        PDT     UTC-7 hours

Thank you for taking the time to read this email and thank you for being part of the triplemining group of miners.

Zelda, MrSam en Kinlo.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but here goes anyway.
I'm a bitcoin mining newbie and just started mining in your pool.
Looking at your stats, it seems as if this pool has not generated any blocks for a while (390 hours/ 16 days).
That's almost double the previous maximum time it took to generate a block.

Am I reading the stats incorrectly?
Is there something to be worried about?

Maybe somebody can point me towards some documentation that will help me understand the process better?

Regards,

No you are absolutely spot on. Its taking ages to find this block. Probability and luck seem to be killing tripplemining at the moment. Angry

I gave a referral URL to a friend and he signed up.  He has not shown up in my minipool yet.  How long until a new member shows up?

Wait, I don't get it.

Could I, for an example, create Triplemining minipool with a computer A, using Miner 1...
And then join beneath it with a computer B, using Miner 2 (GPU1), Miner 3 (GPU2), and Miner 4 (CPU) ?

...And not only chip in and contrinute to the actual mining, but effectively multiply my chances of the lottery winning as well? Or...?

That is considered cheating and we do take action against it, both automated and manually

Try any other pool.
Take a look at eligius.st or bitminter.
Triplemining is not trustworthy at all.
You will see much better results in other pools. See the pool stats thread and compare.
It rather seems that triplemining is keeping a lot of blocks for himself.
If you still use triplemining.com you should change pools asap.
